Nice and quiet spot, close to shops. Staff were friendly and room was neat, but I had to ask for towels and my room couldn't lock. The breakfast was very nice; however, I was told that I could eat from 07:00-09:00. I went at 07:15 and the staff hadn't arrived yet.

I really enjoyed staying at Angels Haven in Bloemfontein. It's close to a variety of shops, private, clean and very friendly staff. They go out of their way to make you feel at home and looked after, I will definately return to this guesthouse.

After finally locating reception, we were shown to the room and left to be.
The room was clearly a revamped garage, not in itself a bad thing, but very cramped with a bed, fridge, table and sofa all squished in. It had some silly perspex sunroof, which was exceptionally dirty and lit up the entire room at 5.30am.
The layout of the family room was very strange, with a bathroom in between the two bedrooms.
When asked what time we would to have breakfast, we requested for 7am, which they confirmed was in order.
But on arrival 7am, they were still busy unpacking, and we were finally served breakfast at 7.45.
With so many better options to choose from in Bloem, there is no reason to go back there.

This was a below average stay. Check-in was done by stand-offish host; we were not sure where we can check in, and less sure whether he is the one to check us in - no welcome or anything. The rooms are shabby, the bedding had sigarette burns and candle wax on it. Our room (Nr 2) was right next to a busy road - it's impossible to block out headlights and streetlights with the flimsy curtains and many windows and sunroof (!?). The room layout is very weird - there's a bathroom between the 2 rooms - so you never know who's in there. It's all narrow corners and turns and difficult to move between rooms. The shower is very tiny - keep bashing elbows against the corners and not a pleasant experience. Breakfast was served between 7 and 9am - we specified that we would like to eat at 7am. We only got served around 7.45. Overall we expected much better value for money.

The owner went all out to prepare breakfast for us which was earlier than their normal time, rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, next time we visit Bloemfontein we will definitely go back to Angels Haven.
