What People are saying

Definitely not a 4 star...

janlyn56on 25/08/2017 21:21

Booked as a surprise for hubby's 60th.Worst holiday ever with Jet 2.. Transfer much longer than stated took an hour and a half.Arrived to be told our room was not ready. ( other people checked in and got their rooms.Sat in reception for 1 hr,asking twice about our room.finally got key after 70 minutes wait.Room was fine,no complaints here. The rest of hotel is dowdy and dated.Badly worn carpets and chairs.FOOD...well I'm not a fussy eater by any means, but,I have had much much better in 2&3 star hotels. No show cooking whatsoever, not even omelette's or pancakes at breakfast (the worst breakfast I have ever had abroad ).DINNER. .the bay Maries are heavier and older than me (and I'm 61 lol).Rice with Rabbit ? Over cooked chicken leg portions, fish fingers, and pork stew was the mains 1 night.Never eaten as much Salad and crusty rolls.Deserts were no better.same thing every night.POOL.area,clean enough, but, drastic lack of sunbeds, and in very poor condition. We spent our time on beds on the beach. €5 per person per day.The ONLY good thing going for this hotel is the location.Oh and the weather was fab...would I ever go back or recommend. .NEVER. ..

Beautiful hotel

After reading the previous reviews I was a bit apprehensive about going but after our 10 day stay i really don't know why people are writing bad reviews the hotel was clean as was the swimming pool our room was cleaned every day the staff were very friendly. The food is traditional Spanish food ( but why wouldn't it be your in spain) over the road is a great little bar Montoni we went there most nights after tea. I would definitely go back there again. Thumbs up to the staff your doing a great job.

Please ignore bad reviews

Was a touch apprehensive after reading a high propotion of bad reviews about this hotel, are these people actually staying at the same place as us. On day 4, easy and quick booking in, with staff very helpful and pleasant. Have probably stayed in nicer rooms, but they are clean and more than adequate. Cleaned every day. Don't know what more you want really, don't spend too much time in them, came here for the weather, which is fantastic, not to admire the decor of the room. Food.. only have the breakfast, which is that good, does me all day. Go the fatboy option, eggs, bacon, beans, tomatoes. Wife goes for more healthier option, but both agree very good. Haven't had lunch or dinner here, but guessing cooked by same kitchen. Haven't tried the pool to be honest, prefer the beach which is literally across the road. We think the place is fab and would definitely return. Some people just like to complain I'm afraid. You will have a great holiday

Typical family holiday hotel

Access to the hotel by bus was impossible. It involved a 200m walk up a gradient. Taxis however were able to drop off and were available to hire from a taxi rank next to the coach drop off point. Food was patchy. On two occasions forewent the meal in the restaurant and ate in nearby restaurant. Also tap water not available. Bottles of water purchased in the restaurant each night cost different amounts. Also unfinished drink could not be taken to the bar. WIFI in the bar was slow but always available. WIFI in the room expensive as unused minutes were lost. Our own kettle and cups were taken from the room (and also from other guests on the same floor). Despite reporting to reception, these were never returned. The hotel was handily located for the Sunday Market.

Honeymoon

Couldn't post our original travel dates, but we stayed at this hotel in 1974 and returned for our honeymoon in August 1977. Very fond memories of the hotel and surrounding area.
Swimming in the pool. Paddle boating in the sea. Don't recall a restaurant at the hotel. We ate lots of bread and cheese/ with wine in our room. Not sure how old the hotel is, but it is at least 40+ years old. Hopefully once it is renovated it will be as nice as we remember it.
