Loved this place

Location was ideal! View looked over the San Giovanni square and was magnificent! Only a 5 minute walk from the metro line macroni which was only 2 stops from the central termini. The access to the suite is either 7 flights of stairs or a lift (which is quite small and dodgey looking) but for me just added to the fun like an 18th century elevator. Room was adorable, large ceilings, TV, comfy bed and shower was so warm!

'Convenient' is the word

Very helpful and nice chap welcomed us to one of the suites. This is not a hotel, that's for sure but the rooms are large and very well equipped for a city hotel. The owner basically turned his flat into 2 separate rooms lockable and safe doors and rents them. Very good location. Only 10 min walk to Collesium and 5 min to metro station so there u are Rome is under ur feet. We ate in different part Rome (touristic places) but on our last day we discovered a wonderful proper Italian restaurant just a minute walk from the suite. It is called 'A Buoni Amici' I think and towards Via Merullana (the large street where u have free brekiefast) its proper Italian food, delicious and we paid half of what we paid in Centre of Rome. Must visit

Brilliant location

Brilliant location, nice clean modern rooms but definitely not a hotel.... Just studio apartments to rent, amoungst locals....No staff around if needed and breakfast offsite.

On arrival ( late in the evening due to flight delays) gentleman waiting on the side of the road for us, took us down a side street and into the back of a large building with no identification of who he was.... Although slightly worrying, after climbing 4 flights of stairs as the lift is something you see in a horror film we arrived in the room... perfect for what we needed. Large wardrobe with lockable safe free of charge, two large windows. Fridge, TV, tea/coffee making facility, and private bathroom. All very modern, clean and well kept.

Breakfast vouchers given for a café a block away which was for a croissant and tea/coffee served between 7-11 (even though told it was 24 hours). Location is brilliant - 15 min walk to the colosseum and a 5 min walk to mentro station. Other than that we walked most of the city so bring comfy shoes!!

If you have no issues / troubles whist here then there are no problems... When the shower breaks or the tv doesn't work it is very hard to find a staff member. Although staying next door to an office it appears unmanned for most hours of the day. I had to email the "hotel" when I had a problem and although they respond relitively quickly it is slightly inconvenient. It would be helpful to know when someone is going to be in the office (even a hand written sign on the door) or provide a phone and free-phone number as it should not be up to the customer to pay for phone calls regarding problems with the room.

A bit strange...

Stayed for a conference.

The place is a bit odd and has a hostel-type staffing and a hotel-like room.

The signposting from the street is poor. You find the small brass plate by the door and wander into a big building that looks like it might be an office.

A doorman-type chap then gets you to wait as someone comes down to find you.

My room was in a different building, not marked from the street several floors up via an old lift.

The room was actually really nice (other than a dubious smell in the wardrobe)- modern, recently done-up and clean.

I didn't see a single staff member after the first day (and I was there for three nights)

Overall, it was good value, clean, and tidy, but don't go in thinking it is going to be like a hotel... It's more like an apartment...

Most Wonderful Laterano Suites

If I ran the hot water in the bathroom sink, I could get get a drizzle of hot water in shower. This is the tackiest and smallest hotel that I have ever stayed in. 4 stars is a joke. The people were nice and they tried but too old.
