Great food selection for the all inclusive package. The hotel is nice positioned near a great sandy beach, where you can see small fishes in the clear water and can go about 100-150 meters in the ocean and the water is still up to half. Having a blast with all kind of activities most of the evenings: Greek nights with dance and music, bingo, quizzes. You are close to the capital, so you have to go to some wine tasting and some olive oil selection. There is also a nice Aquarium near Lavris Hotel, where you can go by foot.

Nice place to relax From the first minute we arrive we felt very welcome the staff is very friendly ,kind and polite the animación team is very active
Makes you participate and enjoy the shows
The variety of food is excellent and there is always an option to enjoy pizzas ,snaks
Could not put an negative point in this place were everybody including the mánager try Their best to ensure you fell welcome and relax

This is the second time we have visited this hotel and the standard was as excellent as it had been before in all areas. I can't emphasise enough how hard all of the staff work and the long hours they put in. They really do put their hearts into their work and this is demonstrated by the high quality of service we received. I would like to particularly mention Stella who is an absolute star! She organised the excursions for us last year and also on our recent stay. This lady cares so much and puts her heart and soul into her work.

The food was amazing as it had been the previous year. They cater very well for vegetarians which is is a very important thing to me personally. We were also given the opportunity to eat in the a la carte restaurant free of charge. This was exceptional.

There is a regular bus service which is about a 5 minute walk away from the hotel that you can use to get to the beach and the town centre of Heraklion. There are also plenty of excursions that you can go on if your wanting to explore a bit more of the island. These can be organised by the hotel.

relaxing break

spent 10 days at lavris hotel. was clean hotel with friendly staff and good food. The hotel is 15 minutes walk from beach where you can hire sunbeds for 2 euros a bed and an additional 2 euros for a parsole.

the hotel has 1 large pool and kids pool at the pool bar and snack area. This tended to be busiest due to this location. The second pool and kids pool at the back of hotel however no bar here but waiting staff do serve at both pools occasionally.

the loungers are in good order and the maintainence in the hotel is generally in good order. the room were comfortable though some rooms were refurbished and some were still older style, so mainly these would benefit from a new bathroom suite.

The hotel has its own car rental service within the hotel and we used this. the service was good and great customer service. i would recommend a car hire to see sights in crete. we drove to knossos and spinalonga. Driving was ok on dual carriageway but hectic on local roads as no footpaths and no highway code .There is public bus transport 5 minutes from hotel on main road to visit heroklion or further afield. the hotel is situated in a good location, short walk to busier area and beach but quiet and suitable for those looking for a relaxing break. Animation staff are low key and friendly. very rarely are you kept awake with music or noise from lavris hotel. The hotel next door is a little louder and you might hear the music a little later on than lavris but this didn't disturb us.

the gym within the hotel would benefit from new equipment and refurbishment.As a regular gym attendee I felt that this was disappointing and equipment was rusty and limited. I did use the gym but not as much as I would have if it was better equipped.

In the time we were there the other guests were mostly German and French. some eastern European guests also with limited visitors from UK but this suited us regardless.

The food was plentiful and all inclusive guest can eat all day long with snack bar provided between meals (pizzas were freshly made and excellent)as well as ice cream, tea coffee etc. I was disappointed that cocktails were not part of all inclusive drinks as I have been to other all inclusive hotels were they were.

if I wanted to return to Crete I would return to this hotel if I wanted to be in same area. however it is likely I would go to another area in crete so may not return. overall I couldn't fault the hotel and my first experience in Crete although it was extremely hot!!

Relaxing week in Crete

I must say that we really enjoyed our stay at the Lavris Hotel in July. We originally booked a standard room but upgraded to the newly refurbished rooms with the private plunge pools (Gnosis). I must say the room was very good and the pool was totally relaxing and well worth upgrading too. The hotel is a short distance from the bus stop so ideal to investigate the area or catch the bus from the airport. The hotel is kept very clean and well looked after with excellent friendly staff. There are 2 pools to choose from and there are plenty of sun loungers. The food was very good plenty of choice which was great for us as we are vegetarian. You can also book the Cretean restaurant if required. We stayed all inclusive with a decent choice of drinks served from 10-11pm. The animation team work hard to entertain and are not too over powering. It is an international hotel so there is a varied mix of nationalities. I would definitely return. Thank you Lavris for making our holiday one to remember.
