carpediemavion 31/10/2016 17:03We had a booking at this B&B, 2 rooms. Travelling from Palermo to Agrigento our driver kindly phoned the B&B to request that we could drop off our luggage around midday. The owner refused. The owner refused repeatedly and thought it was funny; we could hear her laughing on the speakerphone. She said it was impossible.
Now the previous guests would have checked out by midday and all we wanted was to drop the luggage, not take occupancy. She refused and made no helpful suggestions.
When we got to Agrigento the tourist information office phoned her again. She refused and made no helpful suggestions.
We had to go to the station, looking for left luggage lockers, for them to suggest a travel office who took in luggage. It was just down the road from the B&B so it seems highly likely that, in a small area, she would have known of him. It cost 50E, almost the cost of a room at the B&B, but at least it saved the rest of the day. When we checked in to the B&B it was clear she could have accepted the luggage either in one of the rooms or in a small secure lobby area. The owner looked embarrassed; quite rightly so. Such overwhelming lack of helpfulness outweighs any other considerations of the stay.

travellingscoobieson 02/06/2016 20:01This is a really great place to stay - both the B&B and Agrigento itself. Brilliant value for money, charming hostess, beautiful clean and comfortable accommodation, atmospheric town - what more could you want? So glad we chose to stay here. Highly recommended.

Jim Jon 06/05/2016 22:56Really enjoyed our two night stay, location and host. She brought us breakfast each morning and provided maps and guidebooks.
Would love to go back to explore more than The Valley. Driving/parking is a challenge in these old cities, but also fun. Keep your side mirrors pulled in!
comfortable with lovely owner/host
fussyanna2016on 05/03/2016 16:57We spent 2 nights in this very idiosyncratic accommodation. The owner is cheerful and very helpful. Unfortunately, the apartment had a bed built on a platform extending from one wall to the opposite which required some acrobatics to get in and out of. Had I realized I was booking an apartment with a bed like this I would have booked elsewhere.
Centre of the old town
Tony Bon 28/10/2015 12:25Centre of town. Arrived on a Saturday afternoon Lia waiting in street for us. Well appointed suite with kitchenette and room to entertain if desired. Rustic with I think Moroccan styling, building 100's years old. Lia provided breakfast Sicilian with breads and pastries, and made our coffee. We had two nights. This town deserves a week.
This B&B is in the busy part of town, noise at night may be an issue, unless you are part of the noise in the street. If a problem close the doors and turn in air conditioner.
If you have a car, take Lia's offer of €5/day and park in a secure park 400 meters away. If you are around on Saturday the street needs to be clear by 16:00. Then the town comes to life.
