Lunch Stopover

Daniel and Ivana were wonderful hosts. They were very friendly and accommodating to our requests and no alcohol diet (I know, the irony of having lunch at a vineyard, haha!). Starter was different types of cheese with homemade peach, plum and apricot jam (I bought a peach one to bring home). We had 3 types of pasta - penne with the typical tomato based sauce, spaghetti with onions and saffron, and finally gnocchi with cheese and walnut. Delicious, we are getting the recipe. Of course, for dessert it was again, homemade vanilla gelato. Will definitely need to make plans to come back with a few friends who would enjoy their wine and Florentine steak.

A gem in Tuscany

We looked for a nice place to stay that would give us a real feel of Toscana, and got to Le Crete by chance. We were very happy that we did! We only spent one night unfortunately, so we just got a taste, but it was great!

Danielle & Ivana were great hosts, always smiling and nice, and also very helpful with their recommendations. The room was great, clean, spacious, and beautiful. Waking up and seeing the vineyards and hills all around you was very rewarding. If we are in Toscana again, we will definitely try and spend some more time....

First Visit

All I can say is wow....our first visit. We were with friends who had the experience in the past and never stopped talking about it. They were right. I can't wait to go back. The wine, the atmosphere, the hospitality and the food....Danielle and Ivana are great hosts. Can't wait to return.

Enjoyed so much we came back 3 years later

My wife and I came to Le Crete 3 years ago for a wine tasting with lunch and never wanted to leave. First, the views are outstanding, but more importantly, the owners, Danielle and Ivana are extraordinary hosts. We loved the wine but more importantly, the entire experience. We promised that the next time we came back we woould stay at the B&B. Well we lied. Over the past few years we raved about our experience so when we came back to Italy a few weeks ago, we did so with a number of couples so we could not stay here. We did however return for another wine tasting and lunch. Everyone really enjoyed the experience and were still talking about it after numerous other wine tastings and experiences throughout Tuscany and Sicily. Once again we have vowed to return, but this time with far fewer people so that we can actually stay in the b&B.

We only wine tasted here but...

We enjoyed another car tour with "Hills and Roads" and we stopped here for a private wine tasting. The owner/wine maker and his wife were wonderful hosts, and were quite generous with the wine portions, variety, and the accompanying meats and cheeses. They were very engaged in telling us about their philosophy for wine making, and overall just very gracious and welcoming. We did not know this was an agriturismo, but if I have the opportunity, I would certainly give this location serious consideration. It is a beautiful area with Roe Deer and ring neck pheasant in the pastures. Looks like a litte slice of Heaven.
