453lizafon 02/11/2016 12:45We stopped here on a road trip. The staff was friendly and accommodating! The room was clean and spacious, and the breakfast was totally amazing! Although they didn't speak much English, they were patient and very helpful. This hotel is a wonderful French experience
Common 3 stars hotel in France
MStravelleon 29/08/2016 08:54The positive points of this hotel is that it is in a small village and it is quiet at night on the other hand the isolation between the floors is not the best. My advice is to have a room in the last floor to avoid the noise of the feet on the up floor.
The bed has a comfortable mattress but too short actually the problem in type room is that the bed is small and the shower is really tiny. I am a skinny person but that can be a problem for someone big.
Do not expect luxury but it is clean and sheets are cosy.
The swimming pool is tiny tiny … really tiny but better than nothing.
The furniture in swimming pool is broken I think that is better to have nothing than this chairs broken.
People at reception is nice.

Whilst it might not be 5 star luxury , it has all the qualities that count : very clean, and Super friendly , helpful staff who care about their customers and were ultra polite, kind, and smiling at all times. We stayed here as the coastal hotels were choc a block full, and we were glad we did. The room we had was no 21 in the main building, very clean, to sleep three. We had an air con room, advisable,Fantastic shower, fresh white sheets serviced beautifully daily, and we had a change of sheets half way through our week. We ate in the restaraunt one of our evenings and were delighted by the home cooked delicious food. Though the menu was quite small, it was coolked with care and attention. On complimenting the chef patron next morning, he described how he had cooked the shank of lamb with banyuls, the sweet local wine, making it tasty, melting and succulent. I asked for rice rather than potatoes and was provided with a portion of fresh and deliciously cooked herby rice. As we had not secured further accommodation, we booked to stay one extra night, and for this we moved to the annexe over the road. Again, a Very clean room, but smaller and rather noisy in the night, so recommend to stay in the main hotel if possible. There was a fan provided, which was great, The staff helped us to move our belongings and could not have been more helpful and friendly. The only slight downside, was that last time we stayed, a few years ago, theyserved an incredible buffet meal every evening which you could order as the starter, with a huge variety of salads, seafood and meats. sadly, the restaraunt no longer serves this buffet, but the food is still quality and prepared with care. Please bring back the buffet!
Not a resort hotel
cheltonianCheltenhamon 17/06/2016 20:474 nights as part of a Brittany Ferries holiday. Le Boulou is a working town away from the coast but has an interesting history. However, easy access to coast and mountains make this a good choice. I have rated it very good despite the restaurant being closed on our first 3 nights. It was early season and not many guests, so some excuse. However, when it was open on our last night, we really enjoyed our meal. Also, they had found us a good and satisfying vegetable salad on our 2nd night when we got back late and hungry from a visit to a clinic due to illness. They told us where to go and how to get there and checked that it was open- rather like a small English local hospital, if there are any left!. Nice staff, decent room with good bathroom. Good breakfast except for coffee from a machine - not up to French coffee standards!. Recommended as a good local base for a superb area
A good 3 star hotel . Basic but clean
Graeme Hon 21/05/2016 05:40The staff at the hotel were friendly and very obliging. The building was old and needed basic maintenance like painting etc. Our room was clean but very small. The town of Le Boulou itself is not worth stopping at apart from a break on a road trip.
