Perfect location, small apartments
Sanne78on 01/05/2017 18:45We've stayed for a week in the 45m2 3 room apartment.
The apartment was smaller than expected, but modern. The double bed is located in a small room which is separated by two sliding doors with the living room/kitchen and has no ensuite bathroom. In the living room/kitchen we was a couch, a big chair and a poof. For four people this is not comfortable as one person has to sit on the poof for the week. So we decided to swap the poof for another big chair which helped a lot. In addition, we lacked storage space for our ski materials and food.
The hotels also offers a bread service. Although the idea is great we found that the bread they offered was more expensive than in the Carrefour and of less quality.
The location of the hotel is perfect. You are able to go onto the slope straight away and when there is not much snow it is still one of the few hotels that you're able to reach from the slopes. Furthermore, the hotel is not situated in the centre of the village. So it is quiet, however you do have to walk up a small hill if you want to go into the village.
The locker room works perfect, although sometimes it's a bit busy. It has a heated shoe rack which is amazing.
The restaurant is good and the outside bit is very nice. Good for enjoying the last sun after a long day of skiing.
All in all, it was a nice stay. If you do not mind staying in a smaller apartment then this hotel is perfect for a nice week of skiing!

A nice Hotel\Apartments
aviramcarmelion 20/04/2017 09:11We stayed at the Kashmir as a group of friends for Snowboarding vacation last month.
The Hotel is well maintained and the staff are really nice.
We were six adults in a large 3 bedroom apartment.
We cook in and the kitchen was a little small for us. but overall the apartment size was fine.
The hotel is very big and it is build like a maze....
it took us some time to know the way to each room (Ski room, shop, etc.)
The hotel as a spa but we really miss a Jacuzzi which is great at the end of a ski day.
The location is far from the city center and we had to walk in the cold to each bar or club or even to a supermarket.
Overall I can recommend the Kashmir. We had a greate time.
Excellent Service with superb skiing
Jez Hon 19/04/2017 11:53Based on the piste in Val Thorens this is a top quality hotel made so by it's superb staff who all spoke excellent English and could not have been more helpful. Close to all the facilities in VT and above all ski in/out to access all the top class skiing in VT. Still excellent in a warm mid April.
Good hotel but ultimately disappointing
Leonr_11on 17/04/2017 23:17We had a lovely family suite ( two bedrooms and a separate lounge). Excellent location which is accessible on skis.
Great view from our room.
On the negative side, the hotel resturant was under staffed. Waiters were too busy to give an adequate service. There was a very limited range of vegetarian options.
The bar was poor, covered in dirty glasses every which made it look unwelcoming and uninviting.
On one occasion had to wait 10 minutes to get a beer after skiing.
This hotel could be so much better if it was well managed and if someone took some pride in what they were doing. It could be a five star hotel, unfortunately it was only a little above three star.
