A gem in the French countryside

Dominic McGonigal on 19/04/2017 10:41

Surrounded by trees and fields, this is like staying as a guest in a country house. The house is beautiful, with windows on both sides of the dining rooms and drawing room, where you can almost reach out and touch the trees. There is a constant sound of birds, farm animals and wildlife. We were lucky enough to have breakfast outside in the Spring sun, enjoying a basket of fresh croissant, baguettes, yoghurt, coffee and hot chocolate. There are only six rooms and they are comfortable, but don't expect all the modern style conveniences of a modern hotel. It's not that kind of place. It's about a 45 minute drive from Paris. It's within easy access of autoroutes so convenient from Calais or going on to the Alps or French Riviera. Great for a rest en route or for a few days of peace not far from Paris.

Terrible - be very aware !

The only good thing about this place that it is close to Disney.
Practically it would be better to sleep in a tent in the wood.
The host is despicable, rude and unpleasant.
We had no hot water in the shower.
Stain on the sheets.
WIFI is impossible to use.
Breakfast was poor.

None the less the host blamed us on the same things other people mentioned as defective.

This place is cheap because it's bad not because it have low costs.

I am quite sure most of the good comments are fake or from time the place had different owner, it is IMPOSSIBLE someone had really good experience by the treatment of this host.

Pls Read!!!

From far away and on the net it looks nice.... but it is not.
Very poor condition and comfort, simple and poor condition of rooms towels bed linen, bugs every where, we had two rooms with no hot water, internet didn't work.
Now one can expect problems, but when telling the owner about them was a bad experience!!!! The blame was on us, the internet problems where caused by our phones , not true!!! Hot water problem, are you sure???? We will check......
Now if you like minimum and poor logging be aware that breakfast consisted of bread some mini croissants and that is it, you probably will be hungry if you are not French.
So, keep away, look for an other place for you stay.

Lovely experience on the French countryside

We stayed for three nights here i October 2016. We felt very welcome and well looked after. Got a double bedroom with one master bedroom and an adjacent room where our kids could stay. Our host, Philippe, was very helpful and gave us lots of advice of places to visit, restaurants and even which trains to take to Paris. He speaks very well English. The first night, our bedroom was a bit chilly so he provided an extra radiator and then it was fine.
We highly recommend staying at this B&B and hope to be able to visit again.

A little castle

I should not tell others about this B&B, because I want it to be available every time I want to go there.

We stayed here several times and it was always perfect. The view from the rooms is amazing. And every room is unique, with it's own decoration.
And after a good night sleep in a comfy bed there's a breakfast with bread, tea/coffee, juice, jam etc. The only thing missing is an egg and/or a slice of cheese.

In the village nearby is a very good bakery (opened on Sunday). Turn right when you pass the porch. Here you can buy a baguette or croissant for your drive home.
