A long weekend in a delightful area

This beautifully situated classic Manoir is spacious, exceptionally quiet and comfortable, but best of all is owned and run by the most friendly and helpful couple we have ever encountered in many years' travelling in France. They started with their restaurant across the road in the oldest house in this sleepy village, and then they established the Manoir Hotel. The rooms are large, quiet, and comfortable, modernised, and breakfast is in-house but dinner is in the nearby Restaurant. It is excellent, as one might expect. The bar is good, and there are sheltered outside armchair seating areas for social drinks. The pression beer is Leffe.
Madame (who has fluent English) even brought breakfast forward at the week-end so that our group of eight could get to a Vintage car event in time as we were required to do on the Saturday, Nothing was too much trouble. They organised a taxi for us when the restaurant was closed on Sunday night, and recommended a suitable eatery 4km away. The shower and bath arrangement was typically French, but that is very minor.

Generally excellent and very friendly

We stopped overnight en route to our house in the Lot. It is a handsome building with very attractive grounds. Our room was very comfortable and imaginatively designed and tastefully furnished. For those with dogs, this hotel is perfect, because there is a lift that takes you direct from the car park to the floor on which your room is situated.

Great Hosts!!!

We used this hotel for our wedding party, the hosts helped us manage our guests, they arranged transportation to and from our venue. They were very, very helpful in helping us understand the city. Overall this hotel is beautiful place with wonderful hosts! I would definitely recommend it.

A lovely sojourn for wedding

This hotel was a recommendation for our visit for a nearby wedding. We were travelling from Australia and didn't know the area. Correspondence with the hotel prior to our journey re taxis and transport were promptly responded to .
On arrival Sylvie was very friendly and supportive knowing she had a big group going to the wedding.
The hotel was very contemporary in decor. The bathroom was open in the room, and although unusual was rather funky.
The breakfast room was very light and bright overlooking a garden.
The managers were very generous with the bar.

An enjoyable stay

Trevor T and others have accurately summarised all the details, but just quickly this is an excellent family run, family friendly smaller *** hotel an hour or so south west of Paris. Our hosts looked after us and our extended family very well for three days and virtually gave us "run of the house" to look after the babies. I'm not sure where "Le Manoir" came from, I should have asked them, but it looked to me as if the building is a fairly modern purpose-built hotel. Simple, clean and well run. We all enjoyed staying there.
