Definitely a five star hotel
Austin Lon 27/05/2017 18:50An exotic location, super friendly staff and a superb facility...I'm not sure what the negative folks really are expecting when they travel, but Le Meridien Lav is an excellent hotel.
A few things to note:
1) You'll need to take a bus, taxi or Uber to get to the city. It's perfectly easy but if you want to spend most of your time in Old Town, plan accordingly. It's cheap by bus, and only takes 20-30 minutes each way.
2) Breakfast is delicious, but they do take it down right at the deadline.
3) The gym is great.
4) I didn't love the restaurants around the hotel by the marina, but if you're looking for something easy, authentic and not too expensive, Fabio's fits the bill quite well.
5) Don't expect much from the casino and you won't be disappointed.
My only real complaint is that the beds are not quite as comfortable as other Le Meridiens that I've stayed at, but I think this is a regional thing, as many of the beds in Croatia are more firm than we are used to in the USA.

Queenie Eon 25/05/2017 22:58With an air-conditioner that doesn't function in our room, hair dryer that's old and makes odd loud noises, a room that is facing a construction site, the experience here is a major disappointment. NOT recommended at all. Money may be better spent elsewhere. Everything started going downhill since we checked in. Terrible experience.
Maximum comfort
Hermez-czon 25/05/2017 15:32A very luxurious hotel by definition. Lovely own beach, infinity pool and much more. Everything you would except from a hotel of this category. The locality is very nice just at the edge of Split with direct access to Omiš or Makarska (so you don't have to drive through Split when leaving). However, i'd recommend to take taxi to the city.

Evening meal in restaurant not available had to look elsewhere.hotel too far out of split, local bus a nightmare, crowded and hot no air conditioning. Rooms good staff very pleasant and helpful.
Beautiful Hotel
buffalobob6on 24/05/2017 01:00Our room was super, overlooked the water, very large and very quiet. The staff was very helpful and super friendly. Breakfast was all one could want, can't imagine anyone not be pleased. Coffee in Croatia absolutely the best. Hotel had all kinds of bars, coffee areas and nice sitting areas. Lots of walking paths outside, only downside was the distance from Split but it was easy to take a taxi to town. Very highly recommended.
