Beautiful quiet location in the middle of nature, super vieuw on the river Lot. Friendly welcome, complete with real English humor from Oz. Ask him abouth the old tree....
Nothing is too much to give the guest an excellent time. We used the swimming pool, our childeren and grandchilderen who were on holiday in ttis beautiful part of France, visited us. They could also use the facilities and we had an great time together. In the evening we used the restaurant facilities, Oz prepared for us delicious dishes, chef worthy! All the other staff were also very helpfull and friendly!

Beautiful setting, if I would not live in Australia I would be a regular visitor, I just dont know were to start everything was perfect.
The The rooms are very clean, the view is just breathtaking. The pool was perfect on a hot day.

Looked at a place in Figeac, but it was too noisy. Found Le Murier de Viels a few miles outside of Figeac. You need a car to access it, but well worth driving a few extra miles. Rooms are stone cottages, mine had a panoramic view of the valley, Lot River and the town on the other side of the valley. The road near the hotel runs parallel to the Lot River, quite scenic and within a 40 min drive to most of the scenic spots in the area, i.e. St Cirq La Popie, Pech Mere. Owners are French/English, so they speak fluent English, quite helpful when asking for directions, etc. They have a great restaurant on site, all stone terrace overlooking the valley. The food was excellent.

Excellent place to stay - shame it was just 1 day. Off the main road, so need to be aware. Lovely room and facilities, very clean and a fresh breakfast. A very welcoming host who can provide all the information you need about the area.

Lost (but not too much - the directions are comprehensive) in beautiful countryside, this carefully restored hotel has great views and large comfortable rooms. You don't want to leave in search of dinner elesewhere and fortunately there is no need. The menu is limited but the food is excellent. Good breakfast with home-cooked croissants.
