Elana Jon 23/05/2017 09:16We stayed at this hotel for a friends wedding in the countryside. The hotel was beautiful and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Anna welcomed us warmly and made our first nights in France very comfortable! The property was lush and very spacious.
The hotel was in walking distance to the Old Town which provides stunning as well as many delicious restaurants & bars.
We were also a 15 minutes walk to a yummy chocolate factory.
Nice hotel for a night
Eric Don 11/10/2016 06:40We stayed in this hotel for a night mid September. The hotel staff is really nice, and the little parc pleasant. We had a room in the side-building, and it was clean and functional, the bedroom was average, but the bathroom really nice. The room is very very noisy when it comes to the noise coming from the inside of the building. Which explains the "quiet" signs in the stairs leading to the rooms. But apart from that the rooms are quiet when it comes to the outside noise.
The pool is very nice, and the spa area very modern and clean.
Overall a very nice hotel in Chateau Gontier, I would recommend.
Good experience
JoMa1971on 10/09/2016 12:05Although there had been some misunderstandings prior to our arrival (concerning the number of beds we required for our family of four) the owners did their very best to provide us with an extra bed in the suite that we had booked. The main room was really very spacious and everything else as expected. As we arrived on a very hot summer day it was nice that we could use the pool (having to carry our suitcases up two flights of rather steep stairs on such a hot day was, of course, not such a lovely experience on a colder day it wouldn't have been that bad). The breakfast was decent we were only slightly taken aback when Madame simply opened the window in the breakfast room right next to our table which we had closed on purpose as there was an unpleasant draft where we were sitting. We didn't dare to close it again... ;-)
All in all, a good experience. A lift would have been helpful perhaps we'd simply ask for a room that isn't on the 2nd floor next time. Apart from the misunderstanding about the number of beds communication before our stay was efficient and friendly.

RichTetburyon 10/05/2016 12:15This place is great. We were cycling and had two rooms, one in the main house and one in the grounds. I think they were converted stables. Our room, in the grounds was lovely. Newly refurbished, or it looked it, it was exceptional. Lovely walk in shower, comfy beds, large TV, plenty of heating should you want it. You don't want much more in a hotel room than this and for the cost it was exceptional. An absolutely lovely spa in the grounds which the owner was kind enough to hold open for us on a Sunday, also a bank holiday, which was very generous of her. There were gardens for the children to kick a ball in. Breakfast was great. It was a short walk into town. There was nothing to dislike about this place and the owner was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Loved it and I think one of the group is already planning to come back here later in the year.
Parc hotel
Ainslie Eon 26/09/2015 22:47we had a great welcome from Anne - Laure - she was so friendly & cheerful and much deserves a very positive review. We had a lovely clean room & nothing was too much trouble to ensure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent too. We only stayed for one night but she treated us as if we were there for much more than that. She recommended a good bar and the Cantine restaurant just down the road served great food and cocktails at a good price. Will recommend this hotel to our friends & look forward to returning. Well done Anne- Laure & thank you very much.
