Short Loire break
Liz Won 25/05/2017 11:24Ideally situated to explore the Loire. Welcoming reception, helpful staff, good breakfast, secure car park. Chateau adjacent looked interesting although it could only be seen with a guide, not possible to go round on your own. Good restaurants nearby. Room I had on the second floor however was disappointing. Cramped bathroom, a duct of some kind in one corner of the bedroom which had a vent into the room so you could hear conversations and smells of baking croissants in the morning - didn't need to set an alarm! Walls of the room slope inwards so sitting up in bed trying to read was a bit tricky. Avoid room 240.
journey break

Beautiful peaceful place
Lusavka2000on 15/11/2016 12:23We visited this hotel in July 2016 with our family of 4. When I booked this hotel I was a bit worried, as the price on Booking.com was very reasonable and the pictures of the swimming pool and the castle appeared too good to be true. I was prepared for some "surprises". Glad to report that the hotel absolutely surpassed my expectations. The view onto a medieval castle from the swimming pool is absolutely stunning. I just could not pull myself away from that place. I remember sitting there all evening until sunset, admiring the castle and the sky, reading a book. The hotel is very clean. The staff is polite and speaks English. We were very happy there. I am so happy we stayed there. Great memories for us!
Amazing stay, fabulous staff and love the pool!
kmcclincheyon 11/10/2016 03:31I booked this hotel because of the photos and it lived up to my expectations and then some. The village is quiet but a good base for exploring the west end of the Loire Valley. There is a large parking area and the hotel is only one block from the chateau and decent restaurants plus a weekly market in the square. Front desk reception was top notch - always a smiling greeting and pleased to answer questions, provide information or address concerns. Our room was large and clean with a comfortable bed plus an amazing view of the chateau. Although it was October, the staff were more than happy to open the pool for us one sunny, hot afternoon - it was such a treat to swim in the 28 C water with the view of the chateau - an unexpected and much appreciated break from our days of driving and touring. I enjoyed having access to the patio area for my lunch and pre-dinner drinks. It is a lovely place to stay and I would absolutely recommend this hotel.
Wonderful hotel to relax in

Wifi was a bit unreliable, but the hotel is very well positioned for a great view of the chateau.
Overal I was delighted with our stay and will use it again, perhaps as part of a touring holiday or for a short break
