Good spot to enjoy old Lux

Spacious room, great breakfast buffet and very nicely located and in easy walking distance to the center of Luxembourg City. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again on another visit to Luxembourg even though it is a touch pricey.

The room was lovely although had a tech system that worked the light, ac etc which was a little complicated. The wifi was free and good.
We didn't eat there.
Classic, quality, reserved - a fine hotel
A Bon 27/06/2017 18:27For our first trip to Luxembourg, I wanted to stay somewhere memorable. Le Royal had received good reviews in the past and booking direct with the hotel secured a brilliant weekend rate - why go anywhere else?
It's very easy to reach from the airport and, on a Saturday (the day we arrived), the airport buses are free (top tip, as advised by a local just as we were about to buy tickets!). It's just five minutes' walk from the bus stop to the hotel.
This really is a hotel deserving of its five-star status. There's always a feeling of relief when you walk through the door of your room in a hotel of this quality. Quiet, relaxed, air-conditioning already running and a noticeable air of quality. The room was large, the bathroom luxurious (albeit with a Japanese-style WC, with all the bells and whistles - strange) and the bed delightful.
Location-wise, the hotel is just far enough outside the city to be away from the busy crowds, but close enough to be more than convenient.
Breakfast was included in our booking, and how sumptuous it was. An amazing and diverse spread of cold meats, cheese, pastries, breads, and hot dishes, with extra choices to order from the table. Good too for gluten-free guests, with a whole section - breads, cereals, etc - clearly marked. Excellent tea and coffee, and a wide range of juices. We didn't need an early lunch, having lazed our way through such an excellent breakfast...
I doubt I'll be back to Luxembourg any time soon, but this would certainly be my number one choice for value, comfort and convenience, whether I was making regular visits or just here for leisure.

R Hon 26/06/2017 20:26very comfortable almost old style rooms, excellent breakfast, staff very nice, my booking included a free airport shuttle from airport which was very much appreciated (was a shared transfer with 2 other hotel guests who flew in around the same time)

Rogerj228on 25/06/2017 20:06This hotel is both amazing and the service is second to none I stayed here over a week and the service never waned , if in Luxembourg and you have the chance I would recommend this hotel without reservation, it's also very close to city centre within 10 mins walk
