Good basic friendly hotel

We needed a place to stay for 2 nights do that we could go to the Chambord Chateau. We were upgraded to a room with a king and 2 singles which gave us plenty of room. Our room was on the first floor (up from the ground floor) and there was no elevator, which was OK for us. Also no fridge which we find seems normal in France.
The room and bathroom with shower and tub were clean. The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. As we arrived Saturday afternoon, we parked on the street and paid for a couple of hours which gave us free parking on Sunday and paid until 9:15 am Monday when we left. There weren't any convenient cafes in the area for breakfast so we had their petit dejeuner which was adequate. We walked downtown for diner without any problem.
One night quick stop in Blois

A perfectly adequate hotel, staff all friendly and helpful and spoke english. Paid extra for secure parking 3 mins walk away - though plenty of on street parking. Rooms fine, beds comfortable and good shower in bathroom. Free wifi always useful with teenagers. Excellent location for the town and gave us a voucher for the restaurant we had booked for the evening. Not a great bar if you wanted a quick drink before dinner or when you got back - receptionist had no key for the fridge early evening on when we returned we did eventually get a bottle of white wine - it was OK for not very cold and not the best. Breakfast in the morning all as you would expect - fresh bread, croissants tea coffee etc. Would stay again as had a certain charm about the whole place
'Charming Little Hotel'

Sweet little place with charming young receptionist who went out of her way to be helpful and explain everything. Good-sized room and bathroom. Shower and hair-dryer and plenty of towels. Free wifi with code provided on check-in. Free and easy parking on street outside hotel.
Chateau is a nice walk from hotel, as are shops, restaurants, banks etc.
Cozy Base To Explore The Loire Valley

I stayed several nights at this hotel while exploring the castles of the valley. The location is fine, if you choose to stay in Blois: almost opposite the railway station, ca. 7 minutes away from the Royal Palace of Blois. The downtown Blois is ca. 15 minutes away, and that's where it's worth heading for dinner. The shuttle bus ('la navette') that goes to the castles of Chambord, Cheverny & Beauregard stops near the railway station, too - so it's possible to visit them without renting a car.
The room was ok, definitely not posh, but clean and quite comfortable. There was even a bathtub - a bit too small, but still better than no bath at all.
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Practically everyone spoke good English. I'd like to thank them for their attention and assistance during my stay.
Very bad sound isolation

Good price for the room, but if you are sensitive to noise than forget it.
Very bad sound isolation, we could hear everything what was happening outside our room, even our neighbours using toilet.
Other features were OK, it is clean, comfortable bed, good wi-fi signal.
Staff were helpful.
Place is little bit worn off, but nothing serious.
Breakfast is basic.
