Excellent location

We were four nights there. Location was great, a room was clean and towels were cleaning every day. We didnt eat breakfast because it was too expensive, 12 e/person. There was little bit nose because our room was near by reception, but it was ok for us.

Was here in the last week of July, we were four people and had two rooms. Clean and well kept hotel, reception in the first floor, i.e. floor above the street level. Friendly and helpful reception. Only drawback to us were thin walls, voices and noices are loud from the corridor and neighboring room. Safetybox in the room, to me important. Old fashioned lift, that functions as the personnel showed. Often people did not close the inner and outer door, so the lift did not move. I wonder that it was so difficult to follow clear and simple instructions to close the doors after use and make the lift available for all the others. Wifi did not function in all times, but stopped functioning f.ex.after some minutes, requiring new sign in, a bit annoying, but functioned decently most of the time. Hotel is located near Place Massena, shopping streets, Promenade des Anglais and old town, all in walking distance. I could stay again n here, and we were there for five nights. One last thing: we did not have breakfast in the hotel, it would have been a bit pricy (12€/person). Touristic breakfasts were easily had in near by bars with 8-10€.

Ripped off by the taxi hotel!

We got ripped off by the taxi hotel.

We asked the lady on reception to book a taxi to take us from the hotel to the train station.

She asked us if we don't mind waiting a little longer she will call a cheaper taxi company. The distance to the train station was 2km.

As we had our bags we thought why not. The taxi arrived and it was not a normal city taxi with a meter. We did not question this as it was booked by the reception desk. On arrival to the train station which took 5 mins, he charged us 25.00 Euros go go 0.9 miles / 2 km!

We were 100% robbed which I find disgusting.

It's obvious the receptionist has a friend who is happy to charge extortion rates from their customers.

I will certainly not be using this hotel again!

Very good location

The hotel is in a great spot as it can be accessed by car/taxi but is close to the centre of town. The room was small and the bathroom was tiny but it was clean though did smell a little of damp. We left the window open while we were in the room. There is a lift so that you don't have to drag your luggage up the stairs. It is one of the old fashioned type, very quaint.

As the reception is on the first floor it might not be as secure as other hotels, however, the main door is locked at night and you need to use an access code to get in. There is a small security box in the room. It is big enough for cameras, e-book readers, etc. However, it is not big enough for a laptop.

The room was renovated and clean

The title is the best I can say of this hotel. Down a side street that even our taxi couldn't find and no security so anyone can enter of the street to upstairs rooms. You have to use an old "antique" elevator to get to reception on first floor and to your small rooms.
Not a family friendly hotel. We stayed one night and not returning.
