Nice B&B
Sarah Hon 12/07/2015 06:27Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at Sara's B&B. As college students, this wasn't in the most ideal locations for going out, but our room was clean, the single bathroom (which is shared among all the rooms) was cleaned daily, and Sara kept the fridge stocked with yogurt, milk, juices, fresh fruit, etc.
There's a light rail stop right outside the B&B, which is a plus. However, we would recommend this location to older travelers - especially if you plan on staying out late some nights, as you don't want to disturb other guests!
Great location - great stay!
TJR3001662013on 02/07/2014 18:12We stayed at Sara's Room for Easter 2014 for my partner's 50th birthday. Great central location, everything is so easy to get to, and the area of Trastevere is lovely for an evening stroll, meal and drinks. We did all the touristy things whilst there, so didn't spend alot of time in the apartment. We were lucky to have the studio with private bathroom, good size and kept very clean. The kitchen is well stocked with basics such as bread, milk. butter, cheeses, cereals etc, you can also store your own foods such as wines and drinks as long as you label them the other guests respect this. We organised a transfer with Resort Hoppas to the apartment from the airport - don't bother - it took over 3 hours from landing to get to the apartment firstly there was no driver then the driver got lost (no fault of the apartment at all!) - it takes about 20 minutes on the train from Fiumincino to Trastevere and is probably a fraction of the cost. The only downside to our stay was on our final evening we had to transfer to another apartment owned by Sara this was down to a booking error, the apartment was only around the corner 5 minutes walk away but it wasn't a patch on the original apartment, and the couple in the room next door were partying all night - okay they are on holiday but not great when you have an early morning flight :(
Superb B&B
Jesper Bon 01/05/2014 21:30The hostess Sara is really service minded and have a true interest in people and their well being. Wonder anything about Rome? Just ask Sara! A truly wonderful person.
The kitchen is small but has all the necessary things for a daily life. Even a gas stove!
The rooms are average but hey, you aren't spending much time there but rather the streets of Trastevere and Rome. One of the rooms have a private bathroom. The others share one bathroom in the hallway.
The location is really central to Rome and is easy to get to. Just take FM1 (local train) to Trastevere station (20 minutes) and a short walk (10 minutes) and you are here. If you are an average walker you'll reach most destinations within the hour from Sara's.
Free WiFi included :-) Super Market in the same building. Great transportation with bus/tram close by.
As I said, great location. The only downside would be the rather busy street "Viake di Trastevere" but it's not all that noticable once inside.
Great Location
Rob Con 15/11/2013 15:37We visited Rome on Oct 8 and stayed at Sara's Rooms. We took the local Train from Fiumincino to Trastevere. Sara's is only a short walk from there. Sara offers B&B which is of an excellent standard. There is a tram stop just outside that takes you close to the Coloseum. You can buy a travel card that is valid on the buses trams and trains to get around.
There is nothing I can add that has not already been said about this little gem. If I ever go back to Rome this would be the first place I would look to book. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Convenient, Comfortable, Caring
Chel78on 02/11/2013 17:02We arrived Oct 6 & Sara's place is very conveniently located & connected. It's just a 10 minute walk from the train station that takes you to Fiumicino Airport & there's a tram stop at the doorstep; connecting you to the historic sights of Rome in approximately 15 minutes.
The neighborhood of Trastevere itself has much to see & taste, so do explore. Just ask Sara for some suggestions.
We found Sara to be kind, caring & helpful. The room she gave us was clean & comfortable. Breakfast was good enough for us - milk, cereal, cheese, fruit, toast, hot coffee/tea, juice & jams. Sara also let us prepare some of our meals in her kitchen & she helped us to print our online museum tickets.
We hope to return to visit Rome again soon. Grazie mille Sara for everything. Take care & God bless!
