What People are saying

Part of history

It's in such a random place between all the shops on the main streets of Verona, be careful you don't accidentally walk past it. They no longer allow post-its to be stuck to the wall, put you can see by all the blue tack and gum the numbers that were once there. There is however a lock gate, and located right next to it is a small souvenir shop where you can buy a lock in there to attach to it. I believe its €10 euros for adults, €8 for students, and €5 for children to visit inside. It is worth it just to look down and get a picture on the balcony. There is also computers in there which allow you to email a letter to Juliet. It truly is beautiful. Maybe if I paid a trip here when I was younger, I would have paid better attention to Shakespeare in english literature.

Pretty

Romantic and pretty spot where you won't need more than 30 minutes here. The garden itself is lovely but busy with tourists all the time. It looks much nicer lit up at night and there's fewer people..

Exceptional hotel

My partner booked this for valentines day as a surprise. A huge risk as i have worked with hotels for 13 years and own a travel agency and as a result i am extremely fussy. After two days i could not find fault. We stayed in the romeo suite which was beautiful and the little touches by the staff made for the perfect stay. This is the kind of hotel where you actually want to spend time in your room. I didnt see the standard rooms but having stayed in the suite i would say pay the extra and upgrade. I live and work in paris and you would be looking at double the money for an accommodation like that. And the best thing was the style of the room and hotel completely fits the feel of the town. We plan to visit again as we loved verona and wouldnt consider staying anywhere else.

Honeymoon let down

ej1925on 20/11/2016 15:57

Have just returned from our honeymoon to Verona, and on reflection I feel very let down by our choice of property. We researched locations and found Juliettes suites, and the website made them look great and advertised breakfast in your suite - perfect for a romantic honeymoon so we decided to book. I was very disappointed on check in to be shown to a dingy double bedroom that was heated to about 24 degrees, and told breakfast was served in a small dining room - not what we were expecting from the luxurious website description. There was also constant building work going on downstairs which starts early and goes on until late, including Saturdays, and be warned that the work is to build a bar which will make more noise.

We had a late flight on our last day so left our stuff in the office. When we collected it, I asked if a taxi could be called for us (previously we had just got taxis from a rank at the train station), and one turned up. For some reason, this cost us double the amount any of the taxis we had taken before for the same journey and wiped us out of our remaining money for the airport bus. So beware of this also.

Verona itself was lovely, but I would advise giving the suite di guilette a miss.

Staff and location

AngeloB971on 09/10/2016 22:23

Location could not be better, staff was very helpful at all times.
We have stayed in Romeo suite.
I will point few things to be improved:
Instruction for controling of air con
Dusting of the room requires dusting everywhere not just at visible places (I will gladly point where to the management if they contact me)
Paying prime for penhouse and having narrow stairs to climb with luggage is not the best options.
Sink in kitchen is covered and used as a table to keep coffee machine and water kettle (by the way kettle was full of scale)
Shower....well entering inside basin over beach rocks is maybe nice from design point but very ackward and inpracticable...
Romeo suite for my opinion is targeting younger travelers rather than travelers agross the board
Bit more options for breakfast advisable
Score this high is as I said becuse of location and staff
