What People are saying

Well located, but lacking details

lananarryon 01/06/2017 21:50

The Le Terrazze apartments are quite close to the central station (about 5-10 minutes’ walk) and about 5 minutes from the Canal Grande, so they are easily accessible from both. The apartments are spacious, with separate dining and sitting areas. Our apartment was stylish, clean and tidy. Its balcony gave a good view towards the sea.
Internally, however, we found the apartment disappointing for 4 star accommodation. There is a significant absence of electric power points. We eventually decided to unplug the clothes washer to charge our computer and mobile phone. The range hood in the kitchen was broken and although there was a microwave, there were no microwave containers to use in it. There was no kettle or electric jug, so to boil water we used a saucepan. Altogether, there is no sense of thoughtful details, for example, there are no hooks to hang jackets on. Also, this was the only apartment we stayed at in Italy which had no wine glasses in the kitchen! The printed rules require ‘each client to do … the waste removal from the apartment’. Even if this is ignored, it is really not an acceptable attitude from a 4 star establishment.
The foyer had a notice that the air-conditioning was out of order and being repaired. When we returned briefly ten days later, the notice was still there. It is just another example of the building not being well maintained.
There are several other apartment complexes in this area and if we return, we will investigate one of the other options.

Level 8 with a view

We stayed here for 3 nights. The apartment was good with everything you need. The balcony was great. It was a bit cold to enjoy it but if it was summer it will be useful. You have to empty the rubbish your self and dry towels as the rooms are self contained and self service. The bathroom had a stench but that may be common. The room was quiet. We stayed on the top one on level. 8. The lift goes to level 7 so be prepared for. 2 sets of stairs. I would come back and stay

Good location that's about all

First of all, the staff at the hotel are lovely, so I feel bad leaving a review that is not glowing.

Upon arrival we got stuck in the car park elevator and needed to be rescued by the fire brigade. The rescue happened very quickly and we were fine. The staff were very apologetic and lovely and it was not a big problem.

Arriving to our room, the floor was dirty. It was not cleaned properly. Normally I wouldn't care too much but we have a 10 month old baby who crawls on the floor and we were not comfortable letting our baby on floor. Still, I didn't want to complain.

The next morning as we were about to shower, we realised we had no hot water. This was because we had not switched the hot water heating on. We were not aware we needed to do this. It took an hour for the water to heat up. This wait affected our whole day's schedule.

We also lost electricity twice during our stay. The power went off in the evening and no staff were available to help. We were left without power until staff arrived.

There is also a pub next door where young students go and it is very noisy at night.

There were a few more things but not so important I guess to write here - the reception is also unmanned outside business hours so it made it hard to communicate some of these issues.

The positives were a clean bed and towels, nice to have a balcony and kitchenette and of course lovely staff.

I am not willing to recommend this hotel as it has not met basic cleanliness and standards.

Lovely gem in perfect location.

A last minute booking, and they still gave us a suite with a premium view! Very helpful staff, comfortable and safe location, quiet, and the beds were perfect! Comfortable décor, clean, and great price for the area! Easy short term parking in front of hotel. Underground garage for safe storage of vehicle a plus.

Pretty decent

Located near the centre of Trieste, lots of restarants shops and coffee shops. We rented appartment 73 on the 7th floor. Spacy appartment, furnished with lots of Ikea stuff. Not classy, but it will do. Leave your culinary ambitions at home; the kitchen is very modest and if you use too much electricity you will blow the fuses. And there are many alternatives, so why cook yourself?
The terrace was huge, with a nice seaview and some classic buildings. WiFi is ok, most of the time. Both living and bedroom have a airconditioner.
