It met our expectations
Patrick Pon 30/08/2017 20:08It is a budget hotel and we liked our stay. The location is strategic. In walking distance from main city attractions. 5 minutes to Checkpoint Charlie. 10-15 minutes to Alexander Platz.
The rooms are very big and very clean. The beds are very comfortables. We had exactly what we expected.
Great location
Sharita Eon 27/08/2017 09:15I think this is a great spot as a solo traveler. It is only minutes walking distance to Checkpoint Charlie and many other important sites within 30 minutes walking. Plenty of food nearby. The room was basic with a single bed, small closet, chair and end tables. The bathroom was bright and clean with soaps and blow dryer. Overall, a nice small room for basically sleeping in and storing your belongings while you explore. This is first trip to Europe and was expecting small and tidy and this is what I got. The breakfast is a variety of breads, meats, cheeses, cereal, fruit, coffee and juices. Plenty to fill up on to start your day.
If you are looking to spend your time in Berlin in your hotel room and not out and about, this might not be the place for you.
Needs improvement all over
aglaiamanon 21/08/2017 08:19This hotel is very basic in all ways from the rooms to breakfast to the staff.
My daughter and I stayed here for 1 night after spending 3 nights in an inter city hotel in Magdeburg. After the inter city experience, which for us was a brilliant hotel, then coming to this was such a fall in standards.
The room..... had 2 beds with mattresses like jelly, there was no bin to put rubbish in, the bathroom was so small your knees touched the wall when on the loo, the bathroom constantly stank, the TV didn't work(not really a problem for us as we don't watch much TV)
The breakfast..... there's plenty of choice here but the quality is really poor, it wouldn't cost much more to change to quality items. For me breakfast is the most important meal of the day and I won't go back to a hotel with a bad/cheap breakfast. The
The staff.... I can't really say much about the staff because apart from check in and check out they pretty much ignore you, ok if that's the way you like it but it's nice to be acknowledged when you come in the doors.
Though this hotel has a great location near to checkpoint Charlie and cheap prices, there's plenty more places to stay in Berlin.
Hotel is OK
Tal Ron 12/08/2017 11:07Hotel itself is average, nothing fancy. Breakfast is rich enough for starting a good day. the main advantage to choose this hotel is great central location, few min walking from Checkpoint Charlie and of course the price which was decent.
One important thing to mention is that we have booked in advance hotel shuttle to Airport on last day. We got the confirmation from the desk staff, but the shuttle didn't arrive and was not reachable over phone during early morning hours. Luckily we were able to book a taxi and get airport on time.
Large rooms, decent breakfast
Charlotta Won 07/08/2017 18:22Hotel was about 8 minutes from checkpoint Charlie and metro. Not much around. But not a long walk to restaurants and sights. Rooms were clean and large. Was hot in the summer without air conditioning. Would recommend.
