Not worth the cost of the room
30mlb30on 25/06/2017 21:30I stayed one night to attend a wedding nearby. Rooms are in desperate need of updating and upgrading, they are about the level of a budget hotel. I see from other reviews that a refurbishment is on the cards which I am glad to hear. The next morning when I went to use the shower, I found the shower head was missing and had been left on the side of the bath. It surprised me that this had not been fixed before I checked in as the housekeeping service must have noticed. The reception staff did apologise and made a note, so hopefully this will be fixed for the next guest. The staff were friendly and helpful and the free wifi was good. I hope the refurbishment will make it worthy of the money I forked out to stay there because that is definitely not the case at the moment.
Very dated and in need of upgrading
Michael Aon 24/06/2017 23:19I booked a single room and was put in a room with 3 single beds. The mattress was worn out and the room really dated and in need of updating, as was the bathroom. The sound proofing was really poor, I could hear the bathroom above being used.

Having said that, a very friendly and helpful staff, good size rooms, clean bedding, large thick white towels, plenty of hot water, good shower, quiet, extremely good breakfast included in a very reasonable price. Certainly stay again.

Vivien Won 18/06/2017 20:51Visited East Horsley for a friends 70th Birthday party. Staff were helpful and welcoming. Pleasant gardens to the rear of the hotel with tables and chairs, a bonus as the weather was very warm. Our room was very much on the style of a budget hotel. Ground floor at the rear, reasonable size. Fairly sombre somewhat tired furnishing. The mattress did not really fit the divan and was not particularly comfortable. The room was fairly airless and stuffy, it was very warm weather though. Tea and coffee making. The shower in the bathroom was excellent, very powerful. Breakfast was buffet style, plenty of variety.
Car park was close to the room, but not noisy. However it was littered with cigarette ends!
Overall an average hotel at a reasonable price.

Enjoyed late night snack and good breakfast. Polite efficient staff.
Helpful management when we needed a room at short notice on a very busy weekend, well done !
