David Hon 24/01/2017 09:08Typically one of these hotels that was build 30 years ago and is in need of a refurbishing. You got everything you need. Decent room, good breakfast. English knowledge of staff is mediocre at best. You often have to wait for them to find someone that understands you. Also the bar closes extremely early! But the location is good. Walking distance to Yellow river and downtown. Pretty poor wifi. But with that said. I didn't see any options that looked more appealing in Lanzhou. This is after all a safe choice.
Average hotel with good location
WC3721on 09/01/2017 19:08We were a part of a tour group and stayed in this hotel for two nights. The room was spacious and relatively clean, but the bathroom needs some update. Good Wifi service and excellent selection for breakfast.

Had good breakfast at the hotel. Variety of food, local and western. Love the self service coffee bar with different kind of coffee - Americano, espresso, cappuccino, latte .... not easy to get such offer from other hotels in China, right? a real pleasure to coffee lover.
Typical 4/5 star hotel with all the modern conveniences
Elizabeth Kon 17/07/2016 03:21Great beds, clean, comfortable and very quiet. Despite limited spoken English staff were extremely helpful and tech wise. Limited western breakfast but plenty of variety to choose from. Apple shop located on the ground floor for any technical issues.
Comfortable and convenient to Lanzhou University
SeeTheWorld4Peaceon 14/07/2016 10:13I stayed here on a visit to Lanzhou University. It was only a block away. There are many restaurants in the neighborhood, and a couple just in the hotel, and an excellent coffee shop, Caffe Bene, just across from the entrance to the University. The hotel has some nice touches, like large, soft bath towels, an excellent Italian espresso machine at breakfast, and no wait, as most guests were not interested in coffee, and BBC News on the TV. Internet was reasonably fast and easy to use, as was the TV, which came back on the station you were viewing before. I found the bed a little hard, but that was my only complaint. And the air in Lanzhou was very clean, as the government has been working hard in the last decade to reduce emissions.
