Average services, unapologetic staff
mythaceon 14/07/2017 06:17We had stayed there bang in the middle of summer, when temperature was 30 deg C outside. The AC didn't work and all the recpetion could provide as a solution was to keep the windows open. There was no wind and much noise on the road because of which I did not get sleep throughout the night. The bathroom and the fridge were not very clean and that could have been better. Location wise it is a good area. The reception staff did help us locate some good Indian restaurants in and around Mannheim.
Hotel under construction
alexandrea305on 13/07/2017 10:03Please take care to call the desk before going there. There are a lot a work in the hotel which could avoid you to spend a good night. During this time I think the rooms should be half price! I won't recommand this hotel
Good in spite of reconstruction
Ayman399on 10/07/2017 01:19Location is perfect walking distance from the main train station, water tower and the Schloss. It is surrounded by good restaurants, cinemas, and megastores in addition to brands. The entrance was hidden by reconstruction staff but the reception was ready and all the personnel I met were very helpful and friendly. The room was very good, large enough and all facilities are available but the safety box was out of order. Breakfast was good with reasonable varieties. Check out was at 12:00 but starting from 11:30 workers were removing all the staff in the corridor in front of my room and spreading plastic on the ground as if preparing for painting. They were working politely and quietly but I felt embarrassed.
Avoid in summer. dirty fridge
Tomoko son 05/07/2017 20:24(Air conditioning) ac not working. Avoid in summer. It may work in August says there. Room has Enough place tho But fridge is quite dirty. So i will have some doubts in general about the whole room hygiene status

Sabine Bon 01/07/2017 14:29This hotel can only be rated negatively. If I had known about negative experience, I would have spent the nights somewhere else. I have never experienced such a bad quality for such a price. There was no air conditioning available, though the temperatures outside were very high. It was possible to open the window but it was too loud. It was impossible to sleep! Because of renovation there was no electricity from midnight until the morning and no water from 10 am to 4 pm. I went to the pool area but then my room card did not work anymore and I would not enter.
When the window in the room was closed for a longer time, it started to smell bad. The carpet floor was very old and not clean. The humidity made it worse.
Supposedly, it is a four star hotel. At least the price was accordingly. The services and facilities were far from it though.
The hotel manager did not see the necessity to apologize to us (after all, we were a group of 19 people). Despite complaint nothing happened.
The bartender should be mentioned in a positive way. He cheered us up and took care that we enjoy as much as possible considering the above mentioned circumstances. Thanks a lot for this!
Dieses Hotel kann nur negativ bewertet werden. So ein schlechtes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis habe ich noch nie erlebt. Lüftung im Bad, Klimaanlage nicht vorhanden. Wegen Renovierungsarbeiten am ersten Abend ab 24.00 Uhr keinen Strom, am nächsten Tag zwischen 10.00 Uhr und 16:00 Uhr als Ausgleich kein Wasser. Wenigsten ins Schwimmbad dachte ich, leider funktionierte hier meine Karte am 2. Tag auch nicht mehr. War das Fenster zu roch es muffelig war es offen war es zu laut. Der Teppichboden war schon sehr alt und nicht sauber. Angeblich vier Sterne, der Preis war auch so aber Leistung? Diese war weit davon entfernt. Es war auch unmöglich in einen erholsamen Schlaf zu finden.
Die Hotelmanagerin fand es nicht nötig sich bei uns (immerhin eine Gruppe von 19 Personen) zu entschuldigen. Trotz Beschwerde geschah nichts.
Postiv ist der Barkeeper zu erwähnen. Leider unser einziger Lichtblick. Vielen Dank dafür.
