Comfortable and affordable
lyndamontyon 07/08/2016 18:11My friend and I stayed here and we were pleasantly pleased. The accommodation was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The beds were excellent. In the middle of the area and so close to everything. Crystal, the Manager, could not do enough for us. She was amazing. All rooms are non-smoking.

Jilly Jon 06/04/2015 17:50We just spent a disagreeable night at this hotel. We arrived at 15:00 on Sunday and knew that no one would be at the reception desk. We'd been given a code to get into the hotel, and were told that the door to our room would be open. It was not. We called the number we had for the hotel (the owner's phone number?); the woman who answered blamed her mother for not having left the door open and we'd have to wait 20 minutes for her to do so. That was the first problem. It went downhill after that. The room was freezing--the radiator didn't work and we had no extra blankets beyond the very thin acrylic one that was on the bed; we had no hot water (lukewarm only); one of the bed lights didn't work; internet connection didn't work; no hand towels; and the shower hose leaked badly. When we phoned the owner later to complain (we never did see anyone), she told us that these standards are normal. Really?????
Good location, simple but clean
BenPonon 26/10/2014 00:13Les Baladines is a place that is suitable for short and long stays. Rooms have a balcony with a nice city view. Location close to SNCF station and downtown pedestrian area.
Rooms are clean and spacious.
Good backers hotel
Doug Won 12/01/2013 08:18Room only well appointed, it was hard to find but was in a good location. There were no services and parking was in a public car park. Hotel was only open certain hours and one had to have a password key to enter. A good place to stay, cheap but if you want normal hotel services these are not available.
Decent and unremarkable.
PaulHLondonon 14/03/2012 14:00A very basic hotel/residence in the sleepy lakeside town of Thonon-Les-Bains. Stayed here while on business in Geneva (no accommodation available there at short notice). We had a standard room with one double bed and a children's bunk bed. Clean and functional, the room has everything that you need, including free wi-fi. Drawbacks were the noisy hum that emanated from the electrical circuit box and the deserted reception area (there was never anyone around to ask questions). If you arrive late at night (like we did), I would strongly recommend you contact the hotel in advance as reception is closed and you will need a four digit code to access the front entrance. Despite what their website suggests, there is no hotel parking. The public car park adjacent to the hotel closes at 9.30pm. You will need to hunt for a parking space on the road, which are not always available.
Thonon-les-Bains itself is almost deserted on weekday nights—we could only find one restaurant that was open for business. You may want to consider renting a car to travel to roadside restaurants closer to the Swiss border.
