Lovely small hotel with family run atmosphere

A real gem. Old school service and very friendly. Clean, nice pool, good bar and really great food in the restaurant. I hope the tourist trade picks up again in Tunisia as places like this may get lost.

Don't judge by the 2 star rating!!

This hotel is rated 2 star I believe but don't let that put you off trying it. Yes the rooms are very basic but they are clean and the bedding and towels were changed daily. All the staff we met were friendly, you can change money at reception and there are bars and restaurants in the vicinity should you choice to not eat here, however we did stay half board and received a freshly made to order 3 course meal each evening (from a selected menu - full menu for restaurant customers or you if you wish to pay extra). The food was beautiful and always hot. The beach is a short walk away, found clean and with a man to check only hotel card holders were using their specific area where there was also a snack bar (extra cost). Pool also clean and a nice area to sit and relax. Would definitely use this hotel again if we stayed in that area.

pleasant hotel and deserves more credit

I went for a week in Tunisia, Hammamet with my nan and we chose to stay in Les Citronniers. We're both very well travelled. Stayed here in August 2014 (even though it says October 2014 on this review).

The hotel itself is a 2-star but I think it should be raised to a 3-star at least, our room was massive with a decent-sized bathroom. We had aircon and very comfy beds. Every room had a balcony too, with a seat and table. I felt that breakfast was slightly limited though as we only had breads to choose from along with tea/coffee/hot chocolate/juice, so I think there should be more options to choose from at breakfast. In the evening (I think we paid for half-board), we always a had a very big meal as we got food before the main course such as salad, a basket of bread and butter, starter meal, main course, then desert.

The staff were very friendly, the wifi was good, the pool was also cool and hotel was just across the road from the beach so it was very convenient.

If I was to revisit Hammamet, maybe I'll stay in this hotel again!

Clean Basic Great Value

This hotel is great for the price. Rooms are basic but clean. Air con is great, beds are comfy and the shower is powerful. Rooms are cleaned every day.
The pool is good and the food is to a really good standard. Great location to the beach.
Perfect accommodation for a no thrills stay.

No complaints, nice family run hotel, wonderful polite staff,nice pool and rooms well kept, only downfall was the air conditioning or lack of, would definitely go back, a bit out of the way, have to get a taxi to central hammamet,
