What People are saying

Lovely position and friendly

DeeDeeWorcestershireon 02/08/2016 16:37

We spent a week here and it is in a lovely spot, just 22 properties/apartments.
Although our apartment says for 4 I would only recommend it for two as there is only a sofa bed in the kitchen/living area for anyone else. It is clean, basic but with enough storage for clothes and kitchen has hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher and microwave.
We had a double bed and the bathroom had a bath with shower over. All properties have a terrace/balcony and I would suggest a first floor apartment for views. There is a swimming pool and a very good restaurant that also serves breakfast. The staff were lovely and when we had an emergency the were wonderful - thanks to the owner and staff. It is a short walk to the lovely village of Bastide de Clairence which has a couple of restaurants, a Boulangerie and a small store plus beautiful buildings. It is within easy reach of Bayonne, Biarritz and San Sebastián in Spain. Polish up on your French as although you can get by if both sides have some basic French most written information is only in French - just as we just have English here.

Small, noisy and pricey

We were there last week-end. The rooms / apartments are very clean, well furnished and well decorated.
However they are super small; a T2 hardly fits 4 people and the sofa bed being put into bed and you have no living room anymore but no dining area and no kitchen. FYI the sofa bed is very uncomfortable as a bed.. Bedroom is small. Bathroom as well.
The view is very nice from the balcony but you have the constant small noise from the road just in front of the Collines and the noise from the main road a little bit further; completely quiet when you close the door but you don't feel any remoteness when you are outside.
And all this for EUR150+ per night without any breakfast! What a joke.
We have been in much nicer apartments in Corsica and Tuscany for way cheaper.

Does what it says on the tin

Our family of 4 stayed here in June 2013.
Our unit was clean and overall fine, but very cramped. When the kids' (sofa) bed was extended, the kitchen/living space was almost completely consumed. Staff strangely distant. The pool was nice and the village, charmingly basque. Location is good for exploring the region.

Family Holiday Aug 2013

My wife and two year old daughter have just returned from a very relaxing week at Les Collines Iduki. We had a first floor self catering one bedroom apartment, which although simple, turned out to have everything we needed.

The swimming pool was between 29-31 degs each day, which was great for swimming, although sometime a bit chilly standing around if a breeze got up. We found that the pool was empty for most of the day, with plenty of sun bed availability.

I was very pleased to find I had my own wifi AP in the apartment which meant I had 6MB broadband on tap!

We did not meet any other English guests - all of the other residents appeared to be french families which meant the local village, which we adored, was not catering for the tourist. I'd definitely recommend the Boulangerie although Iduki also sold very nice pastries each morning.

There was a childrens playground within Iduki but the slide was broken during our week which meant we had to walk a couple of hundred yards over the river to the public playground which was much better equipped.

A wonderful find

We happened upon this village and restaurant on a snowy Monday in Feb. The decor was lovely, the attention to detail excellent and the food was tasty, well presented and excellent value-we had the daily special for 12.50E-entree, main and dessert including local Basque wine. And the server spoke English which was a help for our guests. We ceretainly did not expect to find this hidden treasureas we turned off the autoroute
