Fantastic hotel, catered to our every need! Such helpful and friendly staff, especially the manager who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was pleasant and we could attend our friends wedding.

Would definitely recommend this hotel and if I ever return to Morzine I wouldn't stay anywhere else!!

Well we went with the lads so was ok for us but certainly wouldn't take the wife small rooms and a shocking breakfast croissants have got to be the smallest I have ever seen an absolute joke seeing you are in the land of croissants and cornflakes like horse food and that's your lot but you can have a English at 8.50 euros extra we didn't bother and went elsewhere . The bar was good and the bar staff were nice and helpfull I would say go it's ok but don't expect luxury but then again it ain't expensive so you get what you pay for.

Harley Days Rally

We were in s group of 7, trying to find somewhere to eat something quick.

Some of the restaurants we tried were fully booked, but stumbled across this restaurant.

Firstly, I was told (not asked) by the waitress to move out the way, she'd already told me once (which I hadn't heard as I was attending to my partner who had stubbed his toe on an inappropriately placed bill board).

Then the waiter showed us to a table and asked us what we'd like to drink.

Without a drinks menu, I asked if they did Sauvignon Blanc wine, to which he replied no, only Chardonnay. When I joked about being in France he just looked at me blankly so I order a Peroni which was warm and tasted awful.

Next was the food order...we selected from the menu and was told they had no duck and no BBQ ribs...why could they have not said this when they handed us the menus, it would have saved so much time.

The food can and all the steaks were over cooked, chips were over cooked which could have resulted in breaking a tooth. The pizzas were well below average too.

When we asked for another glass of wine during the meal, the waiter rolled his eyes and then just plonked it on the table without asking who it was for.

We felt the service and food was shocking, appreciate it was a busy time for them, but that should not detract from the service.

Would certainly not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We spent a week in here and I must say that we were really satisfied. Location great, because there were other pubs or restaurants near. Rooms comfortable and practical. Breakfast tasty, but not much to choose from. But generally I would rate it positively and I´m coming back next year.

SUITABLE FOR SPORT TV WATCHERS,, but NOT GOOD PIZZAS

davidharrylarderon 13/05/2017 16:32

We arrived late in the day in MORZINE and looked around the town for a restaurant which was open in the closed season. While some are open for lunches,, only a few stay open for evening meals during May and November..The owners of hotels and shops and restaurants are on holiday, exhausted after the hectic winter skiing season
Although we were not stopping at the Rhodos hotel,it looked busy.so we ordered a pizza and a beer which was all that you could order.
There are a lot of big screens in every corner for watching different sports or horseracing. Everywhere were plenty of local people laughing away.
I went to visit the toilet and found that I was once again having to descend
into the bowels of the earth and turn a corner at the same time. The toilets were clean and there was a slate surface with a new hand basin. However I would never have got there if it not been for a young local man who kindly helped me both down and up the stairs. There were no toilets on ground level.
Both my wife tried the pizzas. They were not fully covered by 1 1/2 inches and consequently the edges of them were like crisp bread. Not very good. It is unlikely that we will come back here again. It is a bar for the young. There is also a young English barman who is quite chatty.. If you like to look at football, rugby and every other sport going ,then this is the place for you. I'm afraid it is not my cup of tea..
