Great place to stay in Miami Beach
Marig Bon 22/08/2017 16:41This is an ideal spot to stay when visiting Miami. We loved the art deco of the hotel. Staff is very friendly, rooms are very clean and modern. The only thing that we did not like is the breakfast : very basic and not so palatable. There are many places around to have a better breakfast. But this was not a big problem for us. We would definitely stay there again for our next visit. The valet service is top notch.

Jorge Aon 21/08/2017 20:39Second time in South Beach. Best place to stay. The staff was very accomodating especially Lily. A BIG SHOUT OUT TO YOU LILY. This hotel offers you free breakfast, free chairs, free towels and umbrellas to take to the beach. This hotel is located right across from a very beautiful beach.
The Review I Didn't See
alicewilkess2013on 13/08/2017 16:17Some friends and I visited this hotel for Memorial Day weekend. We hadn't visited south beach before, so I did tons of review to make sure we were staying somewhere nice. Upon arrival, the hotel was nice. The woman who greeted us to check in was very pleasant and informational! The free breakfast was also a plus.
My friends and I did a lot of nighttime activities, so one night we decided to just get a drink from the bar inside our hotel lobby. As we waited for the bar tender to finish with his customer, we saw a roach run across some cups he had set up behind the bar. We then told the bartender, and he got a paper towel and killed the roach with just his hands and the paper towel. (No gloves or anything) He then continued to make drinks, without washing his hands!
We asked to speak to a manager, because we were concerned about the possibility of roaches in our room. We spoke to an older bald guy who was extremely rude. He spoke down to us as if this was a normal occurrence and as if he really didn't care how we felt. We had to wait until the morning to speak to the nice woman we had first spoke to. She basically told us that there was nothing she could do because the hotel and the bar/restaurant were two different entities. It was our last night at this point and so the offered us free breakfast at another hotel 🙄

PeanutWellingtonon 06/08/2017 07:12We wanted to stay on South Beach in the action and in the action we were!! Pulling up outside the hotel late Thursday afternoon was a culture shock having left genteel Charleston - the cafe was full and the clients were drinking huge cocktails with loud music - took a little adjusting to! Once inside, having been helped by the doorman and valet, it was a different story altogether. The receptionist was helpful and we were soon going up to our room further from the front entrance. The room was super with modern fittings although the bathroom had been designed by a man who didn't know about makeup mirrors! The shower was delightful and the toiletries beautiful - presents on the bed too!! A bag/satchel, drinking bottle and chocolates - all gratefully received. The beds are comfortable and the wifi very good. The pool area is fabulous - really luxurious and clean. The pool lady is lovely too. The noise at night could be a problem for some guests but I used ear plugs and slept blissfully. Breakfast was good - tasty and abundant with fresh coffee being poured. The Leslie is right in the centre - over the road from the beach with free chairs and towels as well as being close to other bars and restaurants. The rooms were well serviced although I would have like a coffee maker - perhaps I should have asked for one. If you want to be in the action then it's great and for our first time in Miami I am pleased we were - perhaps next time I would choose a more sedate quieter hotel away from the action but no regrets - we did Miami!

jeanette296on 04/08/2017 22:58Just gone through a refurb and the room was clean. Staff friendliness was hit and miss. Located right across the road from the beach and on the upper end of Ocean Drive. Had a bar and restaurant which was available for all guests with good prices if you were staying. Only downside was Valet parking. I got there at 6pm and my car was parked on the street all night.... why did I pay for this service????
