Great location for theatres

The hotel is definately boutique; compact and neatly designed room and perfectly located for theatres.
The front desk staff were personable, helpful and left us to ourselves.
However the door to the room was unnecessarly complicated; why not just use a normal handle? The room was well equipped, but it was a shame not all the lights worked and there was an electric cable snaking its way across the wall.
I like the idea of taking breakfast in the room, but one egg between two and no breakfast tea seemed like oversights. Neither were there any capsules for the Nespresso machine.
I would stay here again if the price was right.
Really enjoyed our stay

The bedroom was very comfy and a good size with quirky touches unlike chain hotels, which made it a lot nicer! staff friendly and helpful, clean and tidy hotel in general.
We didn't realise when it said breakfast included that it had a kitchenette that was stocked and we did find it confusing which items were free and which weren't, however quite enjoyed the croissants.
There was a token included for a drink at the bar which we enjoyed.
They were very accommodating and let us leave our bags there during the day before check-in and after checkout at reception which we really appreciated!
Small side comment, the lift air freshener was very strong and caused my friend to have a reaction to it.
However, would definitely stay again.
Very good location!
Poor at best

I’m sure it is a fantastic members club but as a place to stay forget it.
The shower was cold throughout duration of stay.
The sink blocked
The toilet would not flush
Toiletries half empty from previous guests usage I assume.
Breakfast was a shocker. Already left in your room from the afternoon before was two pieces of cardboard bread an some fatty ham. Plus 2 stale croissants. No sign of any cereals or eggs. Had to wash the previous guests coffee stains off of the mugs. However needn’t of bothered as no breakfast tea bags just camomile which was like having a mouth full of perfume. Only brown sugar no white. No draft beers or lagers in the bar, just expensive Crucial Brew in bottles.
It was all just so disappointing and very bad value at £245 a night.
Ok

I'd wanted to go and check this place out for a while. Central London and usually a private members club. A nice space inside, but this was a Monday, and it lacked any atmosphere at all.
The food was great, but a small menu and small portions too.
I enjoyed the experience, but based on going there, I can't say that I'm racing to join or go back again.
Character and Comfort in Covent Garden

I was looking for place to stay that had character for my mom's first trip to Europe and I found it! From the minute we stepped into Library, it felt like our secret hideaway. We were welcomed by the woman at the front desk who happily checked us in and stored our bags (as we had arrived a couple hours before check-in). From there, we passed through the double doors into the bar/lounge. The decor was warm and inviting; it felt like our private library. We had a tasty, light lunch. The bartender was friendly and provided great service. As we were finishing, the woman from the front desk brought us our room key.
Up a small elevator to the 3rd floor, our room was one of two. The room itself was bright and sunny, with a good-sized bathroom, chairs and a table (we stored our suitcases under the table) plus multiple closets (small but sufficient) so mom and I each had our own. The bed was a little soft for our tastes but that's personal preference - overall very comfortable. My mom discovered another door from the hall. We opened it thinking it was another closet only to discover a kitchenette! Breakfast food was replenished daily (eggs, yogurt, etc.) so we enjoyed coffee & breakfast in the room before going out exploring. The only downside was that the A/C struggled to keep up with the July heat and, a couple days in, the room wi-fi failed. The staff tried but were unable to resolve the issue. The wi-fi still worked in the lounge and this did not ruin our stay. Note that if you stay in a room facing St Martin's Lane, it can be a bit noisy with the window open but there is double-glass and, if the window is closed, the room is quite quiet.
While we didn't get a chance to try the restaurant at Library, we did enjoy cocktails on a few occasions and each time both the cocktails and the staff were wonderful.
The location was perfect for exploring London with the Portrait Gallery, National Gallery and Trafalgar Square right around the corner and a short walk to Covent Garden Market and several Underground stations.
Overall, this was exactly what I was looking for and my mom was delighted.
