Stayed in the ‘Game Keeper’ cottage, Nick was very friendly and welcoming. Attention to detail is nice. Service and rooms was very good! The fresh bread and OJ in the morning was a nice touch.
We had a great stay, would come back!

Unfortunately we found the Castle very disappointing and definitely overpriced for what we experienced. The Robes had been used by previous Guests and had not been washed, they smelt of "massage oil. We complained and were then issued with fresh clean robes, however, we did not use them as we had already had our massage. Wifi does not work. The Spa bath had no water pressure and also no hot water, sadly we could not use the spa at all because of this reason. Breakfast Day 1 was lovely, however, breakfast 2 was a disaster, when I booked I advised Cheryl I did not eat peas and I was served a pea and feta pancake for breakfast. Needless to say my breakfast was not eaten. No finishing touches, no slippers supplied or any other luxuries one would expect when paying this exuberant amount of money. We expressed our thoughts and concerns to Cheryl, Owner and Host and she offered "sorry" - still charged us full rate. Sadly, we would not recommend this B & B at all to anyone. So in summary, no spa, no breakfast, no robes, no Wifi and no luxuries.

We stayed in the Gables cottage, on our arrival we were greeted by the owner Nick, he made us feel very welcome, he walked us down to our cottage the gardens were amazing and it was so peaceful our room was very cozy and spacious with an open fire a beautiful spa bath which my wife took advantage of straight away, it was more than what we had expected, the furnishings and the attention to detail were well thought out and executed,,we had a complimentary welcome hamper of bacon,eggs, tomato and mushrooms which was ample for our first morning plus boxes of cereal, also hot bread and freshly squeezed orange juice brought to us both mornings by Angie, ( she was friendly and made us feel very special) you can also get dinner delivered to your door or try the many restaurants nearby, all the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable, our cottage was serviced daily fresh towels, bed made it was like having that lovely feeling the first time you opened the door, so thank you all so much for a wonderful stay we will be back.

My husband recently surprised me with a weekend getaway to "The Castle" at Lisson Grove and the weekend did not disapoint! The suite was spacious and beyond luxurious featuring our own private pool. The hosts were always available and provided amazing service. You can tell that they love what they do, and they should. This is an amazing property that offers you complete tranquility while having the surrounding wineries, shops and restaurants easily accessible. Will certainly be visiting again!

Very friendly service but cottage was basic, shower was impossible to get temperature right (scalding hot or cold) and only one breakfast of poor quality provided despite being there 2 nights. Maybe the other cottages would be better but as it was a birthday treat we were left underwhelmed.
