Nice hotel, but will not return
Katheryn Gon 10/08/2017 04:43This hotel is nice & updated; however, it lacks in multiple areas. It could be a great choice for someone in on business, but NOT for some one who plans to visit for fun. After reading multiple reviews since we left & our visit, I will not return.
We traveled with a decent size group (13) to see a concert. Before arriving, I was excited to stay here because I attended a conference here a few years ago, but did not stay in the conference hotel. When we arrived, we were unaware that valet was the only parking option. The valet attendant, at the time, assured us our vehicle would stay parked in the side lot during our stay. Then we attempted to check in. The front desk attempted to give us 2 king rooms for 8 adults. After finding the email confirmation with 2 double queen rooms, we were able to check in. We then went to the first room & dropped bags off & proceeded to the next room. That's when the 12th floor elevator doors tried to SHUT when I walked through them, leaving a massive bruise & knot. After this excitement we realized rooms did not have refrigerators, a common accommodation in the cheapest to most expensive hotels. The night proceeded & we returned from the concert. We attempted to go to my vehicle & grab something before bed. My vehicle was GONE! Once we tracked down the valet attendants & my vehicle, it took every bit of 45 minutes to be brought back. The valet attendants received every bit of our frustration, but management needs to be aware. We asked for a manager & were unable to speak to one. 2 of our 4 rooms were very unhappy!
60th Anniversary of Little Rock Nine!
Karen Con 09/08/2017 18:53I stayed at the Marriott convention center for a week long conference last month. I had intended to return for the 60th anniversary celebration of the Little Rock Nine in September 2017. I will find other accommodations. The Marriott has pleasant surroundings but I found the service less than stellar. The food services seemed overwhelmed and unapologetic about the dirty cups I had at meals TWO days in a row. (I have photos but don't think they are necessary) I ordered from the restaurant one evening to take to my room and had the wrong food when I opened it. I called the manager to let them know so it wouldn't happen to someone else and they didn't apologize or offer to correct my order.
Needless to say, there are other hotels. Please find one. Little Rock itself is an awesome southern city. Quaint, filled with history and friendly people! I recommend it for a quick getaway.

190marilynnjon 09/08/2017 15:46I stayed in the lovely hotel for 10 days and had a wonderful time. The staff in the River Room were just great when we had out first event in that room. I meet one of the workers and renamed him "Juicy" who helped me give out gift to the sorors in a game we played. I found out that that the worker could sing and and boy did we have fun then my hat goes off to that staff. I also received a snack from Chef Paul after a conversation we had about "Naan bread Pizza" THANK YOU Chef Paul I haven't eaten any yet because it only when I want to remember my stay at the hotel and I don't think i can find garlic favor here in NJ. The front desk I have to say under the leadership of "ERIN" can work out your problem fast and if not just ask for him, I miss you Erin thanks for all you did for me (housing my Naan until I left :)plus more)..And then there"s Corrian she's one in a million she has style, grace and gentleness to die for and fines a answer to you problems . She helped to make our conference work "THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DID" xoxoxoxox. The room I stayed in along with my roommate was very comfortable we adjusted to the fact that there was no dresses we used the shelves with the baskets for our things, and we had a refrigerator and the ice machine was across from out room. The food was good in the entire hotel. Thanks you Marriott for a nice stay if I ever return your the spot.
Still scratching my head a bit
982eddon 09/08/2017 06:22This is a very nice downtown hotel. It just seemed that at certain times especially at the front desk there was but one person frantically running around. This was most noticeable when my colleague and I checked in having gotten off a weather delayed plane. I observed it at least one other time at the beginning of what would be a night shift. My friend and I were in and out of our room at odd times, so I will defend the housekeeping staff to some extentt. However even when I saw the housekeeper in the hallway and said we're going to be gone now for the next hour, it didn't seem like enough of a signal to say "straighten up the room now." Again, that said, I realized that there is a pattern and practice to how rooms are checked every day at large hotels. Twice I did have to call the front desk and ask to have the service completed when it was obvious everything hadn't quite been done.
So I'm not quite sure what seemed to be affecting this location. While I was in Little Rock, a local business owner down the street happened to remind me that mid-july for about a month is a time that it is hot enough in Little Rock that no one comes there. Moreover, the local people tend to let that be the time they are gone. So it could just be that there were little staff anomalies going on at the hotel. I did want to say the banquet staff was quite excellent as the group I was with, as part of our registration fees, did 75 to 80% of our meals together.
So I have to come down right in the middle on this stay.
Great view
Diane Fon 05/08/2017 22:39Had a room on the 17th floor with a remarkable view of the river. Nice during the day, the bridges, barges going down the river, the submarine across the river. At night with the lights and reflections the view was spectacular. Fireworks across the river topped off the evening.
Service was good, room was very nice and clean and food was good.
