We were delayed getting to the hotel, but were met with a very warm welcome. It was not straight forward to find at first, but we found out that it was only about 150 Metres from the S.Angelo boat station. (Don't trust Google's suggested route.) It is quite central to everything.

The hotel is accessed by a narrow long and steep staircase so not really suitable for the elderly or infirm. The room was spacious and clean to a fault. The bathroom was OK with a single shower but while it had a hair drier, the soap and shower gel came in very small packets. The room contains a small safe, (you can just about get an iPad Air in it,) tea and coffee and a fridge. We found the bed and pillows really comfortable, but others may appreciate a softer mattress. The bedding and towels were clean.

The breakfast is standard with ham and salami, very fresh bread, a boiled egg, fruit, cheese, yogurt and croissants. Excellent service, but only four tables available. We found it more than enough and well worth having. We could have had more if we wanted it.

The only problems we could see were that the hotel is now a little tired and the electrics in our room would not get a UK safety certificate. One socket was hanging out of the wall and cabling, while hidden away, had a couple of open connectors.

All the staff here are wonderful. They try and succeed to make your stay enjoyable and I was left with the impression that nothing would be too much trouble for them to help you.

Getting around from the hotel is easy. St Marks square is just a ten minute walk away and with the water taxi being so close, you might find the €40 for a three day unlimited pass, excluding the airport run, very worth while as you can even get over to the other main islands with it. From the airport, there is a wealth of choice. You can get a shared water taxi for £27 or one of the main water transport boats for €16, both each way. The shared taxi seems to wait until they have a minimum number and we had to wait 45 minutes to get going. Water taxis are very expensive and are silly money compared to other options. Gondolas rides are either €80 or €100 per boat. Singing is extra.

The hotel does not do meals other than breakfast. There are a very large number of places to eat, but the general rule is, the further away from the centre, the much noticeably cheaper it gets. No one can fail to enjoy a trip to Venice and this hotel is really worth considering.

2 of us stayed for three nights at this beautiful hotel. We arrived by water Taxi to S.angelo the stop is a minute form the hotel. Very easy to find also! We then entered the hotel, the little doorway looking onto the canal is lovely. We met the lady on reception who was very friendly and helpful providing us with a map circling all the key areas we should see. Our room was spacious, clean and very good value for money. Location is perfect, just out the way of the busy crowds but close enough that everything is within walking distance. Breakfast was great, lots of choice and fresh each morning. I would highly recommend this hotel! Very happy we chose to stay here above the others.

location is good but sheet isn't clean. we stayed 2night .donot same picture and bathroom is very small shawer is good we had two room
if we comback to city donot go there
there are three spilt in rooms

Very cozy smallish hotel close to Sant' Angelo Vaporetto stop (i.e. good location). Easy to find. Safe, clean and silent area. Narrow staircase.

Our party of eight had three rooms: one ground level suite and two double deluxe rooms at the reception floor. Venetian style decorated rooms were all well equipped, clean and functional. Decent views to the alley or to the canal. A/C OK. WiFi kept disconnecting in room 201 quite often.

Hostess was most helpful and cheerful, always happy. She booked us a private water taxi and gathered a simple breakfast for our early, 5AM departure.

Breakfast overall was very nice; all was fresh and e.g. eggs were prepared upon request. Delicious croissants and other good products.

Apartment in a great location

4 of us stayed here for 2 nights in April. The apartment was conveniently located for all of the Venetian sights and good value. The accommodating was clean, if not a little damp feeling, being on the ground floor but as we did not spend here other than to sleep and wash, this was not really an issue. Check in and check out service was great too. Would recommend for groups wishing to stay in Venice without a large price tag
