What People are saying

Cheap and Cozy

John Lon 21/06/2017 13:53

For what we needed, Ca' San Vio was perfect! Extremely affordable in a quiet location, away from the tourist hotspots -but within close walking range to local sights, restaurants and Vaporetto docks.

We booked the Double Room with External Private Bathroom. The room itself is suitable for up to two people only. Quite small and cozy, with air conditioning and free wifi, which was a huge comfort! If you are looking for space, try one of the other rooms with ensuite.

The external bathroom is across the hall, nothing too fancy, but modern and with everything you need. The shower was a tight space, but in Europe, my experience with showers has been pokey, thus far. So, to be expected.

Both the bedroom and bathroom was well kept and very clean.

Something worth noting, regarding breakfast, is to make sure you call the lobby between 8:00 and 9:30am, if you require it. I made the mistake of waiting for it to arrive on the first morning. Of course, without ordering anything, there'll be no delivery, so be sure to make that call.

The manager/venue proprietor, Zancan Shepard was very friendly and helpful, even offering to allow us to leave our baggage after checkout, if still in Venezia. He speaks English very well, which was a huge help! I would highly recommend staying at Ca' San Vio, if you're looking for cheap, clean, and friendly accommodation when staying in Venezia.

Wonderful experience

Shepherd is very attentive. The room is cozy and really convenient commute to ferry and then everywhere. The place is really nice and importantly safe at night. Shepherd recommended places of interests and instructed us how to take public transportation in the city. Breakfast is served in the room also with choice of coffee, tea, etc. We like the sunshine in the morning coming from the tall windows. Highly recommended.

Room with external bathroom

We booked Via booking.com We must have missed the info that We booked a room with external but private bathroom. Otherwise everything was fine. Breakfast served in room between 8-9:30 (bit late if you have to leave earlier). Nice, clean and tidy room but a bit hot but the room have air condition. All the other rooms have internal bathroom... We were unlucky. The receptionist was very kind and helpful ( recomended restaurant and places to wisit)

Worst Manager

Jaco Son 27/12/2016 20:03

The owner and Manager was EXTREMELY RUDE. The worst service I got in my life. Will not recommend ANYBODY to ever visit this hotel. Their English is poor and they claim to be American, however the emails and correspondence is written in such poor English that it is impossible to communicate effectively. This is not a baby/child friendly environment, and the owner were shouting at us until our baby eventually started screaming and of the noise he was making. We never even got our breakfast, as the only way to get is is to call room services. After calling about 10 times no one even bother answering or bring us anything. we just left the place and had breakfast elsewhere.

Brilliant stay and brilliant service

Me and my husband arrived to our hotel but there was nobody in so we rang the door buzzer and was advised to let ourselves in. There was an envelope on the counter waiting for us with keys to our room. We got to our room it was very clean with a nice bathroom. The wifi was free and very good. In the morning we rang down to reception for breakfast this is when shepherd who owns the hotel comes to our room and introduces himself. He was such a lovely friendly man and he made us feel very welcome. He brought the breakfast to our room which was tea, coffees, pastries and rolls with a choices of jams. The hotel is situated in a good area with a local bar just a street away and plenty of shops. We really enjoyed our stay here it was a shame to leave!
