5pcgon 06/05/2017 15:39An excellent base to visit Rome. Friendly and helpful staff, with clean, comfortable rooms. The breakfast is at a friendly cafe a few doors down. The coffee, croissant and orange was adequate to start the day. One tip - inform the guest house of the time of arrival. We arrived and were locked out. We telephoned and the receptionist, who is not at the guest house at all times, travelled back to the guest house to check us in. This was not a real problem and we will certainly consider staying here again if we return to Rome.

Maximillian89on 27/03/2017 15:03I have been actually there on January (2015), the room was great. Very good location, the staff was very friendly, especially host. Tasty breakfasts in the cafe, located downstairs.
The only minus was quite noisy outside...

PARICHAY76on 05/03/2017 19:24We had just one day in Rome and the hotel staff made our trip memorable. All the restaurants and eating jolts are at walking distance from hotel. Very nice rooms. walking distance to all tourist spots. very helpful staff.

Nice location and good price
Sarahhaley13on 09/01/2017 23:43My husband and I planned a quick trip to Rome while he was in the area on business. We stayed at Locanda Colosseo for 4 nights. The first night was TERRIFYING. If you have a LATE flight in be sure to tell them ahead of time.. EVEN TWICE! I emailed them and let them know our flight was going to arrive around midnight. They acknowledged. They emailed again but it seemed like a general email so I ignored it since I already talked to someone about it. Well, no one was there when we arrived. It's more like a vrbo than a hotel. There are only a few rooms and you have to be buzzed in to get inside. Thankfully someone else let us in.. but no one was at the door of our hotel when we got up there. The hotel across the hallways tried calling them.. no answer.. We waited 20-30 minutes and they finally picked up and came another 15 minutes. They said we did not respond to their email (even though i sent my own) so they were not sure we were coming. In their defense, i was very vague and did not give flight info. They are only in the office from like 7 or 8 am to 5 or 6 pm.
ANYWAYS, after that settled. The place was actually very nice. Not sure how we scored it, but we got the downstairs flat that had two bedrooms, two baths and a kitchen. Maybe they felt bad for not being there? It was very nice! I believe the other rooms are just like hotel rooms.
The location is amazing. So close to the Colosseum and the forum! You turn the corner and you can see it! 5 min walk. The surrounding restaurants were amazing! Easy walk to the train station too but we enjoyed walking to all the sights. It was noisy because it was a main road, but that's what you get for the location.
Overall, it was a good hotel, good price, good location, but that first night was a little scary!
