Rooftop terrace with a magnificent view over Florence
Camilla Lon 25/07/2017 14:17We stayed here in 2 rooms for 2 nights in July, one doubleroom was equipped with a little kitchenette, and the other was a classic doubleroom. Really nice furnished, with old-style wooden cabinetes.
The familyrun B&B is on the third floor, without elevator. For us, it is fine with some exercise! It is in a historical building, and I just love the feeling of history around! The door is maybe a bit anonymous, but not tricky to find if you got the correct adress.
If you go up a small, narrow stair, you will reach a rooftop terrace, with an astonishing view over Florence. Perfect place to bring a bottle of wine and relax!
Location is excellent, near the city center (10 min?) and railway station.There are cafés and restaurants in the neighbourhood. We came by car, and they have an agreement with a local garage company which took care of our car for a small fee.
I would definitely stay here again next time in Florence!

Chloe Mon 17/07/2017 23:26This hotel succeeded our expectations! Our room was lovely, very modern, spacious and clean! The bathroom was lovely too, everything was a 10/10! The pictures on trip advisor do not do it any justice, I'm gutted i didn't take any pics now. The owner was lovely, very welcoming. The breakfast was also very good! Certainly would recommend this hotel!

Vinny1961on 18/05/2017 16:14The building is located less than a 10 minute walk from the station and ideally situated to discover Florence.
We stayed for 3 nights in room 4 of the b&b. The rooms are located on the 3rd floor of an old building, which does not have a lift.
The sizable room had comfortable twin beds, good quality pillows and bedding. Bedside cabinets, large wardrobe with hangers and a safe. TV with remote control and a/c. There was also a pull out bed.
The bathroom had plentiful towels, shower with constant hot water, hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. The room was cleaned once during our stay.
The hotel has a small roof terrace with tables and chairs and a wonderful view of the city. It is accessed via a wooden spiral staircase, which is quite narrow but worth the effort.
Continental breakfast is served in a room with a view of the city and a small balcony.
The hotel wi fi worked well.
The hotel staff are friendly and helpful.
I would definitely recommend a stay at dei Guelfi.
Fantastic location and brilliant service
bronwenb80on 17/04/2017 07:26A friend and I spent one night at Locando Dei Guelfi and couldn't think of a better location in Florence to have booked a B&B. Fantastic service by Percy and Pilar, a comfortable bed and very tasty breakfast. I have to also mention the amazing views from the Terrace, which can be best enjoyed at sundown with a glass of wine and pecorino cheese. The surrounding area had plenty of options for eating out and the sights were all within walking distance. A run from Locando Dei Guelfi up to Michaelangelo Piazza at sunrise also only took about 20 minutes in the early hours. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

moneyconvertoron 11/10/2016 18:26Stayed for a short 3 nights with husband and 6 friends. Yes, it is at the top of a beautiful old building near the heart of Florence, but, the lovely people who run it are more than happy to carry your luggage up and down the stairs.
Spectacular views from the terraces and a short walk to el Duomo and Accademia.
Rooms were comfortable with all the usual hotel facilities including a safe, TV, comfy bed, no shortage of hot water in the bathroom and a generous supply lovely soft towels. Toiletries are supplied, however, one of our friends liked them so much he took the remainder home.
We loved the continental breakfast, there was something for everyone and served with a smile.
