Quiet, comfortable, great value and central
Muireann Oon 05/07/2016 22:55Very strongly recommended!! It's more like a rental than a hotel (no Reception or daily room maintenance, etc.) but great value and most comfortable.
* My room was very spacious (in fact, it was an apartment - other rooms looked smaller but still with very good facilities).
*Great location and very co-operative staff.
*Furnishings old but elegant.
*Only disadvantages: the wireless wasn't always reliable, and although I arranged a check-in time in advance I still had to call, so bring the phone number with you.
* Do stay here!

I arrived expecting to find a single room and instead found I had an apartment to myself - bed sitting room with dining area, kitchen and bathroom. It was clean and well appointed. Mosquitoes were not a problem because the windows were covered by netting. It was ideally situated between the castle and the palazzo dei Diamanti. Although breakfast was not provided on the premises, I was given tickets to go to a local pasticerria for cafe and pasta. I really enjoyed my five days here.

Snow Fon 31/05/2012 12:13Amazing city, nice hotel (locanda is old fashion way to say so) just downtown. I called for a room and they even allowed me to choose in which one (they have 2 hotels) I want to stay. I choose the one next to the cathedral. Just 50 m from the main square as promised.The hotel is more a "rented rooms with facilities", so no reception desk, but the owner met us at the hotel for the check in and check out and the staff was available by phone any time we needed.Because availability was good we had a small apartment with 2 rooms and laundry and kitchen for the price of a double room. apartment was comfortable, with clean and many towels, nice kitchen. hotel is in a ristricted area, so it's not possible to park, but to pass by for load/unload car. As owner for details. I was recommended to park in "parcheggio Kennedy" that I found really cheap (max 3.2 E per day and free on sundays-thanks to Ferrara city!!! ) and convenient.
A very positive experience. I was travelling with a >60 years old and she agrees with me.
Visit the city and perhaps stay at this hotel.
