Nothing was too much trouble!
Sarah Won 10/06/2017 17:25We were a very late arrival having flow to Edinburgh and driven up, of course we called and advised the landlady beforehand, when we arrived she was delightful and looked after us so well, even preparing a quick breakfast delivered to our room in preparation for an early start.
Can't recommend this place enough. Nice clean room, loads of parking, stunning area and friendly locals. We climbed Ben Nevis the next day.
Good place for a stopover.
Chris Eon 07/06/2017 12:16I had a reasonably large bedroom (room 5). It was neutrally decorated with simple furniture. There was a good sized basic bathroom with shower over bath. Shower had plenty of hot water with adequate water pressure. The towels were good and the bed comfortable. There was Wi-Fi. For dinner I had cod on creamed savoy cabbage and chorizo with sliced new potatoes, followed by profiteroles. The meal was fine without being great. The cod was let down by the skin not being crispy. I believe the profiteroles were probably frozen and they could have done with being defrosted for longer. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was average. I had yoghurt, fruit juice and scrambled egg on toast. The scrambled egg was not the best as it was a bit dry.
What a little Highland gem!
hfromtheiomon 22/05/2017 09:53Was very confused because Trivago had a middling symbol for their standard of hotel so went expecting so-so.
What a very wrong impression a search engine can give because basically in all my years of travelling and experience this place was truly excellent.
1) Staff - so very charming and wanting to make your visit good
2) Food and drinks - just spot on and varied, never been offered smoked salmon and scrambled egg for breakfast before and paying £45 for b&b!!!
3) Cleanliness and bedroom topnotch.
Clean plates and full bellies
travellingscotswomanon 19/05/2017 21:10Had heard good things about the Lochailort Inn so took a trip out from Fort William tonight. A very warm welcome from eilidh on arrival, clean, fresh and comfortable surroundings and a nicely varied menu. We were disappointed to hear we had missed the fresh lobster and that fresh prawns were on their way, but enjoyed the scallops, beef bourgingon, hake and venison burger from the menu. Very good value and well worth the trip out from Fort William!
Great food and great new decor!
Claire Gon 25/04/2017 15:53The Lochailort Inn has had a makeover and is a great place to visit . Relax in pleasant and clean restaurant . Good menu, very friendly staff and a huge warm welcome. Parking is easy and plenty of it! The Inn needs larger signs outside and a few Flower containers to pull in the crowds . So convenient and a friendly landlady
