Booked last minute with low expectations but at $54 online and knowing we would arrive relatively late, I rolled the dice--these little places can go either way as any seasoned traveler knows!
Got here about 10pm and the desk clerk was hilarious, efficient, and very accommodating--he even warned me that the room he was giving us was one of their larger ones but the guests above had two small kids and asked if that would be okay. Who does that?? I was impressed and went for it (the kids were very quiet, btw. Thank you good parents!) Free cookies even!
You won't mistake this for the Doubletree in any other way but our room was clean and spacious with a larger fridge and newish microwave. Recent flooring and a bathroom makeover as well. The bedding isn't fancy but was clean and comfortable enough. Typical floor unit a/c which worked well and quietly. Just off the interstate locale with convenience store adjacent made late night snacking a breeze.
All in all I would call this a real gem at the price, especially given the service and convenience. Great job, Lone Star, and thank you for a very nice stay!!

I was happy to stay at Lone Star again after several years of not being in that area and to find it continues to be a safe, clean, comfortable place to stay. Rates are good and staff friendly and helpful. The good rest plus hot breakfast made it nice, too!

We needed a place to stay while heading to south Texas. We found this hotel. Our room was large, with a king bed and sofa sleeper. Bathroom area was nice. All very clean. The hotel has a hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage and biscuits and gravy too. Check it out if you're in the area.

Lone star Inn was very nice. Very helpful people. We ended up staying two nites because of the Christmas holidays and we were having tire problems. I would recommend this motel to my friends and family for sure.

We stayed at Lone Star Inn and really enjoyed our stay the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. It was quiet and easy to find and the rate made it very affordable for a two day family stay. We will not hesitate to say again if we are ever in the area.
