What People are saying

Good Choice if you know Tokyo

chrisnpgon 07/06/2017 08:33

I had some unusual circumstances that made staying here logical based on geographical considerations and glad I did choose here. However I am going to write the review on a more "normal" basis.

Preface the review that I lived in Tokyo for 5+ years and have been in Tokyo about 40 time in the last 40 months. In other words I know my way around.

Almost all new business hotels in Tokyo are nice. Villa Fontaine, Richmond, JAL City, Daiwa Roynet, Mitsui Gardens, etc.. and all are about the same price. Clean rooms, about 18 to 19sqm, free wifi, etc... Many of those do come with free breakfast which Lotte does not and it is a little expensive. I did look at it though and it is bigger than the normal though. For me though its just as easy to grab a coffee from a conbini, a pastry from Vie de France, or hit up Starbucks or Doutor.

The hotel is connected to the Honzomon line station and across the street from JR Kischicho. This means access to Shibuya in about 23 mins, Marunouchi in 10, Shinjuku in 20, Ginza in 15, or Skytree in 5. Its also convenient for Narita in with Narita Sky Access line one stop away at Oshiage or TCAT at Suitengue for bus service to Haneda or Narita.

Kischicho itself has really improved over the past few years with some nice restaurants just west of Kinshi-koen as well as scattered throughout the area.

If it is your first trip to Tokyo I would probably say you might be a bit happier a bit further west but if you already know your way around town this is a good call.

Very good hotel in a location close to the Skytree

Graham Bon 05/06/2017 14:15

This hotel is a mile or so from the Skytree tower so it's worth getting a room on the north side of the building if you can, as the views are tremendous. The bathroom is Japanese style, with a sit down shower and large bathtub, with a separate toilet room. The room itself is comfortable, but quite small and cramped so we had to put one of our cases on the windowsill to make room - this is really the only thing preventing me giving it 5 stars. There's a comprehensive selection of food available at breakfast time and there's the option to eat in the outside area, which is pleasant if a bit breezy. Transport links are excellent, with a metro station entrance in the basement and the Kinshicho JR station over the road.

Loved it!

This hotel was absolutely perfect! Loved the fact that they gave you a new toothbrush, toothpaste, shower cap, q-tips & hair tie every day Very clean! Comfy bed....only down side was you have to pay for tv thats my only negative

Good hotel, a little out of the way

rhtraveler600on 05/05/2017 17:46

Pros: Very clean, and relatively roomy for Japan. decent breakfast for western choices. great bathroom, but small. Quiet.
Cons: no one at the desk spoke English. not near most of the main sights of Tokyo. short on helpful information and amenities.

This was a great choice!

So many options in Tokyo, choose due to ratings, price & location, near trains and metro, so glad we did. Super convenient as right next to JR station Kinshicho. Shopping and restaurants all around the area. Two Pub restaurant/bars, sandwich place & 7-11 right in building. For Japan, fairly spacious room with excellent Japanese style shower/bath. We were in the "Longsofa room" with terrific city views including park next door and Tokyo Skytree tower, recommend getting room on that side for view if can. Would stay here again.
