not good : no refrigerator in some rooms. transparent curtains.so cant sleep well in morning's.
thin doors.bad water flow in the shower... difficult to regulate water temperature.
bottom line is that for its price its a great hotel.
Great place
Omar Son 06/10/2016 07:51We booked a room here on our first stop on a trip from Moscow to Rome.
Place is excellent for the money spent.
Food is awesome, service is top professional
They have free park spots for your car
We are having our honey moon and they offer us a bottle of sparkling wine at arrival.
You Can't go wrong with this establishment !!!
Doors has to be changed in this place!!!
Mindaugas Mon 09/11/2014 09:58The place is great, but there is a big BUT! Room doors seem to be so thin, that it feels like people, who are walking in the corridor, are walking in your room. Everyone wakes up really early, so from 6 a.m. you can't sleep... The same with late arrivals. After last time, we will not get back there!
They need to change doors if they want to keep people staying there...
Ideal location but terribly noisy and uncomfortable.
John Bon 08/06/2014 16:55My wife and I need central locations due to mobility issues. Lucia Hotel is ideal from this perspective. Their small restaurant downstairs is also ideal, as also the very welcome elevator. That's where the complements cease.
The floors and beds are not merely noisy - they are disasters. The beds are also uncomfortable due to ridges between the two halves of the double, ill-fitting sheets, lack of air conditioning and the infernal squeeking. The fake timber floors and the beds have to go.
The Russian Old Believers Church opposite is a picture and was busy with funerals and weddings during our visit. The carillon is a delight, we greatly enjoyed its restrained and skillful pealing.
I have read comments about roadworks in Latvia. They have to be experienced to be believed. They think nothing of ripping up the road into town for miles, putting a basic set of traffic lights at each end and then letting the public sort out how they are going to navigate a worksite, single file. This is not the hotel's fault, but it is certainly a problem. There is a supervisor somewhere who should be put in stocks.
Besides which, the tap water stank. We have travelled in China, etc, but this was especially poor. Bottled water for teeth and face had to be purchased - about 1 euro each, which is trivial.
How did this establishment rate 3 stars?
Good place to stay during the trip to/from Moscow
Mindaugas Mon 27/04/2014 16:02The location is great, building is beatifull, in the very center of a small city. We asked for private parking inside the hotel premises and that was arranged!
Unfortunatelly, room's doors are very thin and basic, so all the sound from corridors is going into you room in the morning, which is bad luck if you want to sleep longer...
