Stayed for 1 night. Rooms are faded and strangely laid out with a lot of space wasted, linen clean as was the room although very old noisy AC unit inside. AC and fan do work though to keep room cool. Water was hot although yet again another Indian hotel with a shower "wet room" with no ledge or anything else to stop water going all over the bathroom. This as said is common all over India and not just this hotel. Grounds could be nice but are spoiled by piles of old broken tiles and other such waste that hasn't been disposed of properly. Service variable , food was quite tasty as it was spicy. Weak wifi signal in reception only.
Will not at all recommend this place. #mptourism is not at all bothered about this resort. They charge ₹ 3800 for the worse kind of room.
Very rude staff. Need lot of maintenance. Very oily and spicy food.
Getting to Indore and then drive to mind ( couple of hours at least on a good day !) is not the most convenient getaway. The property is surprisingly good considering, MPTDC, remote small village location etc. But poor maintenance , old fixtures, and layouts and furniture. Linen and laundry make yo wonder if you should have brought your own? Service is unskilled and without any hospitality training or orientation. Has a pool but not operational ! The Lake view is a pond with very low water level and a lot of garbage, not scenic at all!
Malwa resort is managed by Madhya Pradesh tourism. It was one of the better options to stay in mandu and still is but not a place where I enjoyed staying. I have visited this property earlier too and that time experience was better as the property was new.
The property offers air conditioned rooms and tents. It is located on good location near water body. The rooms are poorly maintained with dated interior and furnitures. The room is equipped with old crt televisions and Airconditioner. Rooms are very poorly maintained and are in need of makeover.
Bathrooms are not well maintained and dirty. Bath rooms have geysers installed.
Rooms have stinking smell and are in bed shape and offer very poor value for money. Not worth half the price they are offered for.
Complimentary morning breakfast was average in spread and poor in taste. The overall food quality was average.
The front office was ok. Sufficient space for parking was provided. The garden in the resort is a saving grace.
There are many nice properties managed by MPT which are delight to stay but this is not one of them.
Mandu offers less hotel options to stay. Malwade resort , Malwas retreat , Hotel Jahaj Mehel are a few options .
This is another lodging operated by MP Tourism. It was the best of the 3 I stayed in on my trip in MP. The problems here are twofold. One, the lake is pretty low in January and stagnant waters with garbage floating about are not a pleasant sight. The other is that the rooms could use a good overhaul with repair of peeling walls, tattered drapes and improvement to the bathrooms so that the shower water doesn't overflow and flood the
floors. The restaurant is not so good, terrible bhuna chicken for dinner one night (and
only 1 night) that was 90% bone, 5% gravy and barely any meat.
