Depends on what you want.

We were a bit dissapointed with some arrangements by our tour operator, because we are not big fans of all-in pre-aranged formulasWe can not be extremely enthusiastic being sided by motorised rented buggy's,bikes, horses etc...on trails..But that's our personal 'ourself' off course. So let me just make a summary the old way with all the minusses and plusses.+:'s : nice architecture, inhouse pool large enough to really swim, nice setting at the lake's shore, trails starting from the hotels with beaverdams very nearby, friendly staff // -'s: restaurant full the day off arrival(enough to make me decline any further involvement), 'eco'toilet articles in the bathroom, and 'eco'cleaning policy, but hyperpolluting nespressocups coffeemaker in the room.No really, serious?Helas, yes.Horse renting far too expensive(we know,we keep horses ourselves all our lives)We also agreed horses didn't look well kept, but one must be carefull saying that, because even deadspoiled horses can have bad periods and temporaroly health issues, there were problems with the tap-water quality.

A place to relax

Plus: excellent location, beautiful surroundings, all amenities and more - pool, jacuzzi, beach, animation, campfire, paddling, volleyball etc., very friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast.
Minus: lunch and dinner not worth their price, food in the bistro of varying quality (try the French onion soup, avoid the nachos), drinks overpriced. One security guy ranting and raving at hotel guests.

Over priced and poor quality service

Tourist1861on 02/08/2017 14:15

We spent last weekend at the Auberge du lac taureau it was our first time ,place is amazing view is breathtaking.
Unfortunately it's not the case about service and cleanliness we arrived to our room and I found hair in the Bathroom and spots in the sheets ,pictures available on request.
As for the housekeeping we didn't get room service the second day we called the reception they said we have to put the sign to clean the room first time ever I hear that since usually it's the opposite we put DND sign in order not to have the service.
And finally food is over over priced and quality is below average.

Thank you

Weeken stay was great

Beautiful lakeside hotel

We stayed at the Auberge Du Lac Taureau for 2 nights in July and loved it. Our room was spacious and looked out onto the lake, which was extremely peaceful and beautiful. The staff were really lovely, the meals we had in the hotel were very good and there are lots of activities if that is what you want - canoeing, kayaking etc. It's quite a self-contained place, a few miles from the nearest town, so you can just hole up for a quiet stay and be catered for.
