Ideal for a night before a flight.
Vicki Con 13/08/2017 22:18Basic room, bit dated/scruffy but done the job.
Around a 5 min drive to airport. Costing about £6.
Restaurant wasn't open during our stay so we went along to the Brewsters about 10min walk.
Guy at reception called us our taxi for the next day when we arrived.
This was helpful.
We left our car for the week and had no issues.
Couldn't ask for more!
ex_patFigeacon 08/07/2017 19:55We chose Manor Park Guest House as we were on a brief 2 night trip over from France to see a new grandchild and it was just minutes away from our son's house. We flew in mid evening and wanted to see our family before checking into the hotel and the owners were most accommodating about us checking in later in the evening. Scott carried our case upstairs - something that happens very rarely these days! Our room was very comfortable and clean and, although we had asked for a quiet room having seen previous reviews, it faced the front and the exit bridge across the street which does have a lot of traffic. Despite there being no double glazing, we heard no traffic noise at all. Our hosts were so friendly and arranged a taxi for us on departure and a wake up call and offered fruit as we had to miss breakfast. The breakfast we did have on day one was delicious. This is a lovely period Scots home with all the high ceilings and decorative features that one would expect from a house of this age - a joy to experience.
We have stayed in several b & b's over the years in Glasgow and good ones are hard to find - this was certainly the best we have stayed in.
A further note for avid readers of reviews - the bad reviews almost all relate to a time before the present owners took over 5 years ago - we had nothing at all to complain about and will definitely return.
Outstanding hosts
firechick823on 24/06/2017 14:11We had a wonderful stay at Manor Park Guest Hoise our first night in Scotland. The hosts were warm, accommodating and informative. The rooms were comfortable and restaurants were in walking distance. Delicious breakfast in the morning. Enjoyed thoroughly.
The location lets it down, not a first or second choice for our next trip up to Glasgow
busyfamilytravelleron 19/06/2017 12:15The breakfast was nicely prepared and the rooms are spacious. The beds were comfortable. The nearby dual carriageway spoils it .There was ample free parking at the weekend all around. The individual who greeted us had some preoccupations about where exactly we ought to park in this unrestricted area, and seemed affronted that we had cycles with us.
It was more expensive than a better place we stayed 7 days before that was already booked up and much less well located, its not near to the more attractive parts of the West End by the University. Not bad,but not good either, wouldn't book again due to location and austere atmosphere, there are other choices
Great Stay!
Lisa Hon 03/06/2017 21:18My sister and I stayed here for a total of 3 nights (2 at the beginning of our trip and 1 at the very end). To start, the breakfasts were homemade and delicious. The hosts were super helpful in making recommendations in the area and even provided us with a coupon for the hop-on hop-off tour, which we subsequently used of course. We had a bit of a problem with our shower draining, but they attempted to fix it as soon as we told them and when that didn't work, they fixed it as soon as they possibly could (after obtaining the necessary tools). We were happy to stay here as many nights as we did and would recommend it for anyone visiting Glasgow.
