100 shillings for a well preserved ruins
jackykowaon 07/08/2017 06:50We had other options to do butterfly farm and snake park. We paid only 100 Kenya shillings for the ruins. We also opted to do the tour ourselves since everything is self explanatory. We got the map at the ruins reception and we begun our trip. The palace, the two wells, big old baobab trees were captivating! If you could repair the tree house, that would be a plus as well. Asante and will be back for the other attractions in this forest.
Great History

A bit of history
tonigichimuon 12/04/2017 20:23One of the oldest historical gem in coast province, apart from the structures fading out slowly the guides will paint a true picture of what Gede ruins looked like and how the people then survived regardless of the many challenges that faced them
enchanting history !!
Azhar Kon 11/04/2017 11:42This attraction is mainly for avid history and architecture buffs. Needing a calm mind and a sense of presence one can easily be taken back centuries in an instance. The serene beauty of this once bustling settlement on the Swahili Coast is simply magical to savour and behold. The mysterious Ruins and the untold stories are folklore in the mjikenda culture. A bygone era but one which has not been rivalled even today !!
