Remote location - language barrier but very nice staff
Ukusinon 17/08/2016 14:41Location is very remote. GPS took us the wrong way and we turned out driving a very challenging road in the woods for over an hour...!!!! if you go be sure you navigate via Ceret. from there its about 15 min drive up hill.
place is very remote for the good and bad. Dinner offers a very limited choice but nice if you happen to like what’s served. Room was very big but a little aged.
Was very hard to get buy without English nut staff is extra nice so we managed to get by. not a place for an over night - more for a get away..
Appalling experience
Clarke Uon 10/08/2016 21:54Book at you peril!! The hotel is expensive for what it is, it is clean but very run down, the views are beautiful but that's as good as it gets and you can see them on the outside for free, as you certainly don't get them from the room!
Most importantly steer well clear if you don't speak 'good' conversational French, the owner is incredibly rude to the point of ridiculing and joking with the other guests in the restaurant about us, all in French of course, my wife understands sufficient French to be clear this wasn't just imagined. This vulgarity continued throughout breakfast (if you could call it that) as well, much to his amusement.
Having traveled the world from Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East I have never ever experienced such a rude and insolent hotelier in my life. Just to repeat, book at your peril.
