Great location near train station and more
Picky2traveleron 22/07/2017 22:41We only spent one night en route from the alps the Nothern Honshu and we liked the hotel a lot. We had two rooms on floor 11, the double was small and the room with twin beds much bigger. The bathrooms looked like shipping containers -- modular units that must be plopped into place during construction -- but functioned fine. The staff were very nice: I was using the coin laundry and they were very attentive when one of the machines malfunctioned. We loved the location. Near the train station and lots of great restaurants, and a reasonable 20 minute walk along interesting streets from the Matsumoto Castle. This was one town and hotel we could have stayed a bit longer in.
Tiny room
Marjo1187on 24/06/2017 10:10We had a room with double bed which was tiny, the bed pushed against the wall so the person on that side of the bed had to crawl over the other to get out. Little room for two duffle bags. The same cigarette smell same as others reported in the corridor of non smoking floor but ok in the room.
The ac kept switching on and off, which was quite noisy, although we had set it manual, only when set to freezing cold it kept running with acceptable noise level.
Location is good, opposite train station and 10 minutes from the castle and many restaurants.
Good western breakfast options at the train station, Vie de France.
Smells like cigarette
calicomapleon 28/05/2017 13:27The hallways had a strong smell of cigarette and the rooms had a noticeable smell as well. We had to keep the window open for the duration of our stay (which was luckily only one night). Our room and floor was labelled "non-smoking" but the strong scent of cigarette was just as strong on this floor as the smoking floors. Otherwise, the rooms were fine.
Small rooms.
hcbradleyon 02/05/2017 09:40Stayed for just one night and found the rooms quite small compared to other hotels in japan. Free wifi and clean. Breakfast had very limited western choice but you wouldnt starve. More or less opposite the station and not far to walk to the local shops and restaurants.

pbhPlymouthon 16/04/2017 00:521 night only, very small cramped room over looking industrial area. Basic breakfast. Close to shops and places to eat. Interesting department store nearby with eating facilities on the top floor. Would not recommend this hotel.
