Comfy Bed and a good feed
Rick63AUon 03/06/2017 01:24The rooms are trapped in the 1970's. Verrrry old school. Long stays lack the finesse when the cleaners go through, regularly forgetting to top up supplies. The beds are very comfortable and the Restaurant has a large menu range.
Tight Wads
Rohan Won 30/05/2017 13:25We stayed here because of the pet friendly status and I can say the pooch was happy in his surrounds. The room was small, clean and basic and they provided a continental breakfast which was most welcome (delivered on arrival)
Unfortunately however we found all the appliances were switched off and the power points took some finding, which after a long days drive it wasnt something we wanted to be doing. There seemed to be a big effort to cut costs (under the guise of carbon footprint)
The shower also had limited hot water and the pressure fluctuated which wanst an ideal way to start the next day.
Road trip with dogs
Kezzalinon 24/05/2017 06:48A pet friendly hotel, a rare jewel to find.
The hotel is an older type but the room was very clean, the beds comfortable, kettle, toaster, fridge etc all in room. Air conditioner worked well. The motel was quite, the shower hot and wonderful.
A safe dogs off leash area was provided which was perfect to allow them to exercise, and to do their business.
If staying please ensure you pick up dogs business.
The staff member I dealt with was extremely friendly and helpful.
Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Overpriced and tired hotel
MoniquefromAuston 16/05/2017 09:32Stuck in the 1970s decor but charges like it had a reno last week. Pillows are fine if you like a hard one (unfortunately I don't).
Nice and quiet though.
Food was very average (soggy vegetables).
We went to Acacia hotel the following night - it was cheaper and nicer and brand new (and just as quiet).
Roadtrip stopover!
royann27on 06/05/2017 10:47Have been using Coonabarabran & MFMI as a road trip stopover on my trips up or back to Queensland since the early 1980ies..
Back in the early 1980ies the motel would have been worthy of possibly 4*, Coonabarabran a very convenient stop over.
Sadly, in my opinion, the rooms now need a full renovation to bring them up to standard, the basin in my room was discoloured & cracked at the outlet, other upgrades had been carried out regarding the TV setup etc. but sadly were still evident regarding holes left in bench tops etc.
