The Bath Street apartments are closed!!!

If you can still find a site that is advertising these apartments DO NOT book them. Was due to stay tomorrow only to be told today that the company has gone into liquidation and the apartments have been closed since June this year...I booked through a supposedly reputable company to stay here, they took full payment, on 31 May this year and received no notification that the apartments were closed. If I hadn't checked I would have turned up and had nowhere to stay. NIGHTMARE

What a disappointment

Had arranged to stay here as a treat. What a let down, for a start they have changed the code for access since sending out the email instructions. we and other guests were there and unable to access the place and had to phone for out of hours help to even get in. There was no dvd player and this was one of the reasons we were staying here as we needed a home from home situation. The hot water was a trickle at best so made showering an extremely laborious process and encouraged us to even think about going to a spa just to feel clean. The water pressure was terrible on our fourth floor we used the kettle to clean dishes as it took too long to fill the sink. Cooking facilities were pretty decent and there were pots and pans and all sorts of crockery. Decor looked tired but the Living spaces were decent sizes and bright but we had real issues with temperature control. Despite the heating being off the place was swelteringly hot. One of our radiators was on even when the heating was off and the engineer I was staying with couldn't explain this. The boiler in the bedroom exuded such heat it made our bedroom uncomfortably warm and rattled when the pilot ignited which it would do eractically making it difficult to sleep. The towel rail in the bathroom was permanently on as it was on an electric circuit that we couldn't switch off and there was no extractor fan. Very stuffy.
In communal areas the carpet was dirty and two days ina row I noticed a pistachio shell sitting in the same place on the stairs that didn't move. The lift light didn't work so it was very scary in the dark going 4 floors. The desk was never manned the whole time we stayed there so to get our discount voucher for parking was impossible.

Very close to amenities and shopping as its right in the centre of town, have lots of restaurants close by but I'm sure I would not stay here again.

Terrifying Manager and Filthy Building

Please please please do not book here ever. We were desperated for two bedrooms for two nights for two couples and this was one of the very few places left in Glasgow, we looked at the reviews and decided that some were a bit harsh and went with the better review comments. That was a big mistake. The first strange event was after booking with LateRooms and giving all our credit card details we received an email from the accommodation provider email address reservation 1@max-service apartments.co.uk stating that due to systems failure we would have to pay cash on arrival which although we though was strange we agreed to as there was no where else available. We arrived at 16.30 yesterday afternoon to be met by a nice middle aged American couple coming out the front door , they wished us good luck as they have just had a horrendous experience staying there! Momma we thought, anyway we pressed on and picked up our keys from a wall safe, our keys were in a used white envelope hand written by someone who didn't go to school very often. We entered our room and were met by a stale musty smell, had a quick look around and could feel my boots sticking to the tiled floor to the kitchen and bathroom areas, we pressed on and inspected the bedrooms, all the fittings were covered in dust and sticky on the tops . We didn't touch the beds as by now we were disgusted with the whole set up. We then received a knock on the door demanding our cash payment, I informed the gentleman, who could've come in of the street as he had no ID whatsoever connecting him to the apartments, he then turned and went, we collected all our belongings and prepared to leave whe there was an even louder knock on the door, I opened it to find a big very angry man at the door demanding cash and asking what was wrong with the apartment, I informed him it was filthy and that we were not staying and closed the door for my protection. We then went downstairs to leave the building and hand back the key only to meet the same large gentleman with a very unhappy look about him and gave him the keys , he again asked us what was wrong with the apartment and informed us he would go and look at it. Basically the apartment hasn't been cleaned properly for a long time and would have the potential to make someone I'll. I would not have used the kettle, the toaster, the showers were all mouldy. Anyway I could go on and on, all I want to do is inform everyone to stay away as this place is disgusting.
Apart from that we were now on the streets of Glasgow for 2 nights with nowhere to go so thanks very much Max Apartments. It also appears that LateRooms don't take any responsibility for anything much at all, we will keep an eye on our bank account to see if they withdraw any money.
Very bad experience so again tripadvisors don't book here.

Cancelled Booking, Did not refund me! STAY AWAY! BUYER BEWARE

After travelling here from over 100 miles away, our booking was cancelled without reason by administration and no excuse given!
Terrible experience, card machine wasn't working so I opted to pay with Paypal which luckily I had as I had to make a claim for my money as MAX serviced apartments are making multiple calls failed to refund my money.
Worst Company I have ever dealt with and advise everyone to stay away if you would like to actually enjoy your stay away.

So nearly there, and for the price fantastic.

Arrived and the details sent in advance to get in and get you keys from the key safe were correct and access was easy.
The first little disappointment was the lights in the area outside the apartment were out and I had to find the lock by the light on my phone. This was the beginning of the blown light bulbs in this apartment. I would say that 50% in the apartment were blown. Looking at previous reviews this is not uncommon. Sadly it looks like they do not read the feedback.

My only other gripe is the bad smell in the communal areas.

The location, room sizes and what is provided is good and what you expect in a serviced apartment.

I would stay here again.
