catl0rion 28/02/2017 20:32My daughter and I stayed two nights at Maya Zecpeten Jungle Lodge. First and foremost, know that this hotel is off the beaten track and really only accessible by 4WD or, as we did, at the mercy of the hotel's management. The owner is kind, helpful and easy going. The location is absolutely stunning. The pool is perfect on a hot day. The rooms are very clean and large but also spars and could use a little decorating with some of the colorful, traditional Mayan textiles and art. The hot water in the shower is HOT but also a bit tricky to get to the right temperature.

Leo Mon 07/02/2014 08:42We needed to get away from crazy schedule. This place is perfect: beautiful location, quiet and serene atmosphere on the lake without crowds . The villa was simple, no luxuries like flat screens, but clean and with the view of the lake. We enjoyed hiking and biking. The food was good too. I would definitely recommend the place for a quiet get away.

The rooms are quite large and and face the lake. A bonus is that there are NO mosquitoes on this island. All the furniture is hand made on site. There are nature trails all over the penisula with lots of Animals in their natural habitat. The pool was refreshing after a long day of exploring. And the on site restaurant has local and Italian food. Im coming back here just for the food. It was perfect to unplug from the rest of the world. No electronis noise. It was great to fall asleep to the sound of the jungle.

Kevin Don 16/08/2013 21:52spacious villas tucked away in a jungle setting. room was clean, had a nice pool and staff was inviting. close to local shops where we picked up a unique hand carved jewelry boxes. Tikal wasn't very far away. belize is farther than just a day trip but that was our mistake. Cant wait to return to this jungle oasis.

Joseph Son 29/07/2013 19:29I first arrived and thought I was in a different time, the staff greeted me like a VIP. My room was clean and neat, the meals were quite good. I really enjoyed the tours, and just walking around the Jungle. This is a excellent getaway for all the things that you need to. I loved the weather there, it's hot but not unbearable, each preconceived negative I had was quickly dispelled, Thank you all you read this I loved my time with you and hope to return again.
